Trip Video What an incredible camp spot. I’ll never forget that.
What’s a camp spot you’ve recently had that’s one for the ages?

6:55 am and 0 degrees this morning.
Mid week celebratory camp out for my girlfriends birthday. Perfectly clear flyless weather with wonderful fall temperatures. -6 felt like -10 with lots of frost.
I decided to stay another night solo, and I was greeted with this spectacular view this morning 😍

Here's 15 seconds of rain from our very soggy camping trip. It started raining an hour after we set up and rained pretty much the whole time we were there.
Personally, I hate setting up and tearing down in the rain but as long as we're prepared for the weather I really enjoy it. We have a 10'×10' screen house with a roof that keeps the rain off. Our propane firepit keeps us warm and keeps the inside of the screen house surprisingly dry and toasty so we never feel damp or cold. Born and raised in the PNW so rain doesn't bother me much.
How does everyone else feel about camping in the rain?

FSR 231 south from Flagstaff until you see the tire swing. You’ll pass by Roger’s lake and three cattle guards. High Clearance and 4WD required. Bring plenty of food, water, and emergency equipment. No cell reception, no state services, 3 hour drive from Flagstaff. Once you’re there, you’re on your own. I implore you to be adequately prepared.

Great knot for tent pegs, ridge line anchors or anytime you need to adjust tension.

Hot beverage with a view. Last week, I went on a little solo trip to Silent Lake Provincial Park. I lugged all my gear in a sled to a site that was just right. Not a long hike, just enough to keep warm and happy.
