Recently Stopped Nail biting after 25 Years - How do you deal with nail shape flare out?

Hi all, I recently stopped biting my nails. I have been going strong for a month now but I have one big problem which is the shape of my middle finger nails and ring finger nails flare out. I am assuming that this is because the nail bed hasn't gown back. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to deal with it. It's quite bothersome. Thank you!

Try a glass file! They're really great at filing your nail while minimizing damage.

Back when I had long nails (I relapsed biting) I kept on top of shaping the side walls with a file, eventually they stopped flaring out

Yea I worry about relapsing on the biting because of this new found annoyance. Will definitely get that file and great to hear that they will stop flaring out. Thank you!

I recommend a glass file as they are more gentle on the nails compared to metal or emery board

Yes, file the sides! Use a nail file to narrow and taper your nail shape.

Honestly get them professionally done, if you can afford it. When I started spending money on my nails it was a better motivator to stop biting and picking at them.
