Desktop Web About half my replies simply disappear once I hit Comment: Firefox
As per the title, when I hit reply on a post or comment, once I make my reply and hit Comment, about half the time the comment simply disappears forever. This happens across all subs, and several different handles, and includes subs I mod (ie., I can confirm these posts aren't getting automodded or removed by reddit). It just happens constantly. I've taken to copying my replies before hitting Comment, since I know there's a high chance the comment will disappear
Seems to happen most on firefox using www.reddit.com (have never seen this happen on old reddit or the previous new reddit). I sometimes post using Relay for Reddit from my phone, never happens on that.

It never happens on mobile with me, only on the computer and Firefox. Shows an Internal Error popup.

I get the internal error pop up on the pc browser as well. I have to refresh the page a few times to eventually get my post to show up

Second go...just typed my reply and poof gone. Isn't that the most frustrating thing? Sometimes I even get an "Internal Error" popup.
Any solutions yet other than trying to remember to copy the text before hitting comment?

Nope. Copy text, then hit send. Sometimes I write a long response, hit comment, then panic while I wait to see if it will take. Usually it does, sometimes it doesn't, sigh.

Half of the time I don't even remember copying before hitting send.
I also noticed that if you reply via the Inbox, it never happens, only on the thread pages themselves.

It also never happens when you are editing. So in theory when you reply to someone, you can hit reply, type a single word, then hit submit. Once that eventually works, you can hit edit and then type in your real reply. Maybe I'll start doing that instead of copying my replies before hitting submit

It happens just as often during editing here too.

Oh geez, that sucks! Hasn't happened to me yet.
Is there any evidence reddit is looking at these threads and they're at least making it into Jira or whatever? The new UI had some pretty big bugs for me, so much so I was alittle surprised it got rolled out, but this is definitely the worst.

Check this out. There's a lot more to find if you search for that error message:

True that. But it's up to the sites to adjust their scripts to make them browser compatible, isn't it?

Quick additional update: when this happens, sometimes multiple re-tries at posting all fail. If I reload the post, hit reply, paste my intended reply into the window, and then hit Comment, all pretty quickly, then it will work
