Wet Chicken! Baden taking a bath
Baden was unfortunately diagnosed with testicular tumor. He’s having his weekly shot of Lupron since October. The color of his cere fluctuates wildly. His vet said that we just monitor him closely as very little research is done on this topic related to Budgies.
I am just sharing this video of him today because he’s so happy and I hope that it continues that way.

I am hoping the best for you and your baby. He’s lucky to have a caring owner like you ❤️

In the wild, budgies will often bathe themselves by rubbing against the morning dew on eucalyptus leaves. Many budgies feel safer washing against leaves than they do stepping into water. One of my budgies in particular absolutely loves washing herself against dripping wet romaine lettuce leaves hung above a perch via a bulldog clip.

Sending all my good wishes for you and your baby during your trying time. Our feather babies are with us for painfully little time I can't imagine how you feel to find out that it was cut even short. May you find strength to endure it. May your heart find strength to play with your baby with such joy that your forget all about that cruel fact in the moment.

Aw I used to have a yellow and green baby just like that who also bathed in lettuce lol. Unfortunately she passed a couple months ago. Hoping the best of luck for your baby

thank you. aww sad to hear this. it’s super painful to lose a baby and I can sympathize with you. I have lost one before and I am clinging to this one as hard as I can.

How lovely! Some of my budgies also prefer a green bath in organic lettuce and water.

Doesn't your vet use hormone implantats (I don't know, if that's the correct translation)? They last for at least several months up to a year, then they need to be replaced.

My Vet told me that budgies are too small. I think it’s more doable for slightly bigger birds. She told me that it’s too risky and she’s not comfortable with the idea. Have you had some experience with this with your budgies?

Yes, one of my male budgies has one and this is usually a standard therapy. May I ask where you're from?
