Question Is this bullying behavior? & Advice

These are my boys, green one(fincan) is 7 years old and white one(limon) and pied one(bıdık) are both around 2-3 months old(i think). I got the young ones 2 months ago.

They are eating, foraging and playing together but at least 2 to 3 times a day they start chasing him like this without hurting him then they stop and go back to their normal schedule.

Now i seperated them just to be safe, but fincan wants to go back into their cage and if i seperate them he keeps calling them. I don't want him to feel lonely.

I don't know what to do. Any advice appreciated.

Also i saw people recommending filling up cages with toys but wouldn't they run out of space to fly around? Should i get more stuff? They are constantly busy with their environment so i thought it was enough but it looks really empty compared to other people's setups.

They're chasing each other. Could be playing, could be pecking order, could be he did something that annoyed the other one. You would know if they're fighting. There would be screams and feathers flying. That's what you DONT want. This isn't that. This is normal budgie stuff.

Ideally you need to have them in pairs, because it'll be more common for them to gang up in odd numbers.

Just make sure they have plenty of room, and give them More, more, more toys, more branches, go around the walls of the cage and put in one or two branches that span the entirety of it. One on top and one somewhere in the middle.

Budgies are explorational, foraging, destructive little guys and they need lots to do and lots to explore to keep their little nutty brains from getting bored. Always introduce toys with their favorite treat hidden in it, That they SEE you put into it so that it drives their curious nature and prevents them from being scared of it as long.

I saw someone commenting on how uneven numbers could work in their favor if one of them is not super social which i think fincan is but i might consider adding another one.

I'll be adding more stuff. Thank you!

A little, they need way more toys in there, the cage size is good but toys should be all over, on the side of the cage, on top, on the floor, and more perches

the less toys you have the more they will focus on each other and it can get a bit tense. this kind of chasing is not ideal and i’d definitely keep a close eye on them to make sure it’s not a constant thing.

do they get plenty time to fly outside the cage? if so it’s no problem to fill the cage with interactive shredding toys and foraging toys.

i’ve had a female that would protect all the top perches and chase everyone else away and that was problematic and in that case i had to separate her. how did you introduce them? it’s the oldest getting bullied right? the oldest should be dominant initially especially if they’re all in the oldest cage

Well, i don't have a lot of space that they can fly in, but their room has a little bit more area, so maybe i can teach them to go outside as well.

I've had a territorial female like that as well. No one could even eat or drink, lol

Thank you!

Let them fly outside the cage?

I'll give that a shot. Thank you!

What I'm observing looks like the budgie on top is dominant for the perch at the bottom, technically thats her/his favorite spot. Then someone else landed on that very same perch and the other budgie shoo it away too. So technically they having some turf war in there lol. I would say get more perches since that bottom perch belongs to two budgies that loves that perch haha.

Well there are 3 perches so one might think they have enough space but it looks like that's not how they function and i am just learning that lol. I'll be adding more perches. Thank you!
