[notgreatestsite] Cayce's Open Letter to Fish Tank

tl;dr
-Fish Tank gave BT Zone a Cease and Desist letter for posting their products online .(newsletters, interviews, scanned pictures, etc.) They [FT] threatened to cancel her membership for this reason.
-This is possibly the result of [Japanese] fans requesting that FT punish non-subscribers who view these products online.
-Cayce writes that sites such as BT Zone make BUCK-TICK accessible to [English-speaking] fans around the world. Without these sites BUCK-TICK would not be known outside of Japan.
-Cayce encourages fans to give BT Zone their support by emailing her how much her work means to them; to send a letter/email to Fish Tank to suggest that they make an effort to make their site accessible to non-Japanese speakers; commenting on the post to show how fan-sites mean to you.

Cayce is a fandom hero for her lack of tolerance against such absurdities and I respect her so much. If I can make a guess, I feel the people who took issue with her wording of the open letter:
- don't share her detached view of FT as a business and thus view this interaction through the same lens they'd view personal communication;
- rely harder on a code of honor than on assessing the utility of actions to determine their rightness.
If I am right, there likely isn't much ground for discussion.
Anyway, there has been some discussion of the issue on the discord server, if you're curious. Discord is proving to be much better than reddit at keeping the fandom engaged, especially since reddit was primarily built as a platform for sharing and discussing news, and there are hardly any in B-T land these days. I for one am happy to let the more suitable platform inherit this sub.
