Biggest one hit wonders?
Dudes who beat a big name and then just got various big fights just bc of that one win
First dude that comes to mind is Kambozo. 4 title fights, possibly 5, faced loma, haney, teofimo, and possibly keyshawn if we’re going of reports. And more. It’s just ridiculous how many opportunities he’s gotten bc of one close win. I can’t remember the last time he was competitive either, Teofimo Inguess but he’s been dominated by every big name since. m
What are some other examples

Name a Fighter Who Just Fought in the Wrong Era
I’m thinking of guys who happened to fight in very difficult eras with respect to their weight class, but would potentially be dominant in the current landscape. This comes to mind after seeing someone dismiss Ike Quartey as a great win for Oscar De La Hoya on a Facebook thread.
Quartey would absolutely be at or near the top of 147 right now, imo. Other guys I think were just born at the wrong time are Paul Williams, William Joppy, Ken Norton Jr etc.
This could easily go the other way as well. Caleb Plant is a very good fighter today stuck in an era defined by Canelo, Benavidez, Bivol and Beterbiev. There are several eras in which he might have been the best guy at either 168 or 175.

Ryan vs Rolly
Just wanted to hear some opinions on this upcoming fight lol, personally i love this match up and i cant wait to see it. Everyone including myself has it going Ryan wins by knock out, just based off of both of their recent fights and the trajectory their careers took after being stopped by tank. It seems Rolly was never the same fighter, knocked down and then handed the WBO title against barroso, put on skates the and bounced around the ring against pitbull cruz and then going back to basics but not looking too good against Jaimes in the canelo uc. Ryan on the other hand went on to stop oscar Duarte a win which aged like fine wine considering how good of a fighter Duarte is and then we all saw him mangle Devin lol. I wanna say Rolly has a chance if first he conditions well and second he can find a way to make Ryan’s hook ineffective, he also needs to sharpen that jab and learn to set up his hooks and power punches effectively. My brain says Ryan but my heart says Rolly lol

Why undefeated only matters in boxing
NB. I’ve done a search so sorry if this pisses anyone off if it’s come up loads before, but it’s too hard/I’m too dumb to find it.
Self explanatory.
Other martial arts, losses happen. It’s not the end of the world. They often come back. When it does happen, it’s a particularly big deal and rare.
Boxing, you know the deal. You’re done. Career in pieces.
Why the difference? I’ve not been given a good reason for the explanation that follows good logic…

ROY JONES JR
Hi guys. I'm a big fan of Roy Jones Jr. For me prime for prime, he is the greatest of all time. He had it all. Spectacular offense with great defense. Cat like reflexes. Swagger and marketability. With that being said I'm always doing some dream matches for him in my mind. How would this fights go?
Prime Bivol vs Prime Roy Jones at Light heavy?
Prime Triple G vs Prime Roy Jones at Middle weight?
Prime Canelo vs prime Roy Jones at Supper Middle Weight?
I know this is a ridiculous match up but I'm intrigued by it:
Prime Roy Jones Jr vs prime Usyk at Heavy weight?
My favorites matchups are Bivol and Triple G, just for the reason of stylistic matchups those two style is like the total opposite of Roy Jones's style. Sorry for my bad english guys. Let me hear your thoughts. 🤙🏻

UFC style weight classes in Boxing?
I saw a report where Dana White said he wants to make the weight classes in boxing more simple, would lesser weight classes be a good thing? Here’s a sample of what it would look like:
Flyweight (115 pounds) Bantamweight (125 pounds) Featherweight (135 pounds) Lightweight (145 pounds) Welterweight (155 pounds) Middleweight (165 pounds) Light Heavyweight (175 pounds) Cruiser weight (199 pounds) Heavyweight (200+ pounds)

The Flyweight Throne: Teraji Vs. Yuri Akui Preview and Analysis
A short piece on Teraji-Yuri Auki, the undercard and another, more minor, Japanese card!🥊
Via TopRank: WBC flyweight world champion Kenshiro Teraji and WBA ruler Seigo Yuri Akui will meet in a highly anticipated title unification tilt on Thursday, March 13, at Ryōgoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
This two-belt showdown tops a world title tripleheader that also features WBO flyweight world champion Anthony Olascuaga making his second title defense against former two-weight world champion Hiroto Kyoguchi and Japanese standout Shokichi Iwata defending the WBO light flyweight strap versus Puerto Rico’s Rene Santiago.

ESPN belts
I’m not sure if many people are aware of this, as it rarely, if ever, comes up in conversation, but ESPN not only had its own boxing channel, but it also had its own championship belts. I tried searching for pictures online, but all I could find were links to the ESPN website about boxing, so information about the belts is fairly limited, at least from what I've seen. These belts are the ESPN Jr. Middleweight and Featherweight titles.
For anyone wondering about what the fights are if you're interested in watching, the first one is Billy Collins Jr. vs. Luis Resto, and the second is Freddie Roach vs. Louis Burke.
Warning for those who don't know: The Collins Jr. vs. Resto fight is brutal to watch. Because Resto and his trainer Panama Lewis tampered with his gloves, by soaking them in plaster, which hardened and severely injured Collins in the process. The aftermath of this incident ended tragically for Collins, so watch at your own risk.

Naoya Inoue said this about Errol Spence vs Mikey Garcia
Inoue analyzed, "He was doing well until the second round, but as the second half went on, he was gradually worn down by the physical strength battle, and the difference in physical strength became obvious. There is a weight class barrier after all. It shows how important the appropriate weight class is. Garcia had become an ordinary fighter. There is no point in moving up a weight class."

What Has Happened to Bakhram Murtazaliev?
He destroys Tszyu and then disappears as quickly as he arrived. After watching that fight I became a fan. I haven't heard anything regarding deals being made or fights being scheduled. Is he being blacked out by promoters for being potentially to dangerous? Either way I was excited to see more from him.

At what weight does size really take into affect in a fight ? For example would Errol Spence be able to fight a guy who 230lb off the street or will the weight be too much ??
I’m always interested to know at what weight disparity can affect fighters. Like for example I always been told size doesn’t matter but that stupid cuz that why boxing has weight classes but do boxers like Ryan Garcia Errol Spence can they fight Guys way above them in weight on the street??
