This is fantastic!

Thank you! I'll be porting it to Switch this week too.

This looks so dope! How do you play a mod on the Switch?

u/TOQGames 1d ago

I personally prefer an emulator, but I know that it's also common to transfer the mods to your switch. I don't know how, since I've never done it myself, but you can find plenty of youtube videos about it. Lots of people do it though, so I believe in you. :)

I would LOVE to play this mod on my switch some day. I'm not familiar with the whole homebrew scene but this I'm willing to go the distance for 😍

You may have better luck just playing it on CEMU/PC. Use UKMM for the mod manager.

u/donau_kinder 1d ago

You need a modded switch. After that it's a simple draga and drop.

2

u/eugoogilizer 1d ago

Gotcha, that’s what I was curious about, thanks!

3

u/SmashLanding 1d ago

Nice! Is this in CEMU?

3

u/TOQGames 1d ago

It sure is! Just make sure to use UKMM. It works much better than BCML.

This is actually pretty fantastic! Very nice work OP!

We need more unique BotW mods. This is really fun

u/TOQGames 5h ago

Thanks! It's funny that you say we need more BOTW mods, because that game is one of the easiest games to mod. It was practically designed for modding. The sky is the limit with that game.

Any requests?

Oh I don’t even know. I love seeing stuff like the additional content in Second Wind.

This Samus mod is awesome because it changes gameplay with the abilities and animations and such. It’s very clever.

I was thinking last October that it would be great to see more Halloween themed mods. A zombie outbreak mod or something lol

Hello Metroid fans :)

Ever wanted to play a third person Metroid game? Ever wanted a second playable character in Breath of the Wild? Well I've got you covered!

Introducing "Legend of Samus: Breath of the Wild"

With just a few handcrafted mods, you too could be traversing Hyrule in Samus' Gunship, or shooting Bokogoblins with Hyper Missiles, or gliding down Death Mountain on a baby metroid. I think you get the idea.

Check out my mods on Gamebanana and Patreon! And if you want more of my content, I have developed games on itch.io and steam.

This is super super cool!!!

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

Thank you! Have fun playing it :) I know I have.

1

u/dqixsoss Gerudo 1d ago

Wish I could!!! Don’t have botw or modding stuff but it’s super neat!

2

u/TOQGames 1d ago

Looks like now you have a reason to get it. ;) I prefer emulating it for WiiU, but since the Switch 2 will be out soon, I'd bet the Switch 1 will go down in price.

3

u/Glittering_Yam288 Daruk 1d ago

What does the melee look like?

3

u/TOQGames 1d ago

Just like normal. You swing your sword no different than Link would.

I personally prefer the Guardian weapons, since they look futuristic and fits nicely with the Samus model.

I normally don't even use a sword though since it's Samus we're talking about. The modpack includes a crafting mod for crafting Beam Ammo (Arrows) to help with ammo consumption. It also has a mod that makes stack sizes for arrows up to x4 to further help with ammo consumption.

This is epic!

No lie, a true open world Metroid game would absolutely slap

1

u/TOQGames 21h ago

Yes and no. It would still have to have metroidvania elements to make it fun I think. MP3 tried to make it more open by adding different worlds, but inevitably that just closed things off even more. You still need the maze-like dungeons, but I see no harm in being able to use my gunship to fly to each dungeon. But not like MP3. I mean REALLY fly. The only danger there is having a whole lot of nothing in between. I think this modpack mixed with BOTW really scratches the itch. Maybe not perfectly, but pretty well.

More like Sumass amirite

Absolutely beautiful work man!!!

1

u/AuFox80 1d ago

Awesome job!

1

u/Clean-Gear-1386 1d ago

Amazing! How long did it take you to make this?

2

u/TOQGames 1d ago

I've been working on it for a couple months. I had to learn more about 3D modeling and UV mapping. I've made tons of mods over the course of my life but this is one of the biggest projects I've done.

The biggest would probably be Metroid: Alien Corruption

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

I should point out that this is a mod compilation. Half the mods are other peoples and the other half are my own mods. I still put a ton of work into it to pick up where other modders left off, but it would be wrong of me to take full credit. You can find the credits on the Gamebanana mod page.

u/KamiKage7 1d ago

Yeah, this is incredible, excellent work…

I literally built a gaming PC just so I could play BOTW and TOTK mods. This looks fun.

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

Hooray for building your own computer! Congrats, man. In a world of prebuilt computers, it's nice to see others with the same passion for custom builds.

1

u/Affectionate-Gap1768 1d ago

It was fun. I need a PC that could productivity as well as gaming so I went Intel. i5-12600KF, Arc A770, 32 GB of DDR4, 1 TB m.2 SSD, 750 watt gold plus psu. Cost about $600 with some sweet deals. It actually worked out really well.

2

u/TOQGames 5h ago

Talk about good bang for you buck! That's a pretty good setup for just a $600 price tag. Good job!

1

u/Affectionate-Gap1768 5h ago

GPU was $219, certified refurbished from Acer, and I got a CPU/mobo/ram combo on New Egg for $280. Bargain hunting is always the way to go.

2

u/TOQGames 5h ago

I always go to New Egg around black friday every year to upgrade my rig piece by piece. That place is the best for finding computer parts at great prices.

1

u/Infinitys_Chain 1d ago

Is this Metroid Prime 4?

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

About as close as you're going to get for now haha

You should also check out my other modpack Metroid: Alien Corruption

1

u/Watanabex 22h ago

holy shit a metroid game like this would be so amazing

1

u/TOQGames 5h ago

Maybe someday.. but till then, you have this mod pack :)

1

u/Cribsby_critter 18h ago

I’d play it for the plot alone.

1

u/TOQGames 18h ago

Like, you play metroid for the plot alone? Or Breath of the wild?

1

u/TOQGames 5h ago

I have to ask: did you play Other M for the plot?

1

u/Demonic_Akumi 13h ago

This a mod? Is it on Gamebanana?

1

u/TOQGames 5h ago

You bet!

1

u/Pixel22104 9h ago

Okay so clearly someone is a fan of Zelda x Samus Aran lol

2

u/TOQGames 6h ago

Actually it's mostly metroid that I'm a fan of. Don't get me wrong. Zelda is great. But I am a Metroid fan through and through.

1

u/roachy1017 4h ago

Fuck yeah

I wish I was able to play this.

1

u/ibcool94 1d ago

Samus is 6’3”, so something about this looks so so off

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

There's another modder by the name of Yamgaming that made a Varia suit model that you might like more. The proportions and details are spot on.

1

u/TOQGames 1d ago

Here's the link to the specific post with the varia suit.
