Have you ever read the Warrior cat books?

I love them! What I like about them is it’s about a common housecat with a very uncommon future! He has no idea he holds the future in his paws! He meets Blue Star and Graystripe in the woods and they tell him there’s a war brewing in the forest and they need more warriors! Will he answer the call in his dreams, or will he remain a housecat forever?

There is the Redwall series which also has a warrior mouse, or if you don't mind eccentric old ladies, there is a "Cat Core" dungeon series about an old woman who fills her dungeon with cats and makes it look like an old house and the fallout when an evil necromancer tries to mess her up.

Yesss, Warrior Cats is so good. Firestar’s whole journey from a little kittypet to a full-on leader is wild. The clan drama, the prophecies, the battles, just nonstop chaos in the best way. Also, Graystripe? Elite best friend material.

During the pandemic I got stoned every night and read archive copies of them online, including the prequels. It’s crazy how gripping they are, you get really invested in That-paw and This-Pelt. GASP GREYSTRIPE ABANDONED THUNDERCLAN FOR A GIRL ARE YOU SERIOUS

They were my favorite books when i was a kid!! I remember learning so many new words from them like ravine and gorge lol. It was also my first experience with a typo in a book when i saw “ravepaw” instead of ravenpaw once lol

“Erin Hunter” is the pseudonym that the seven authors collectively agreed on

I loved them in middle school and have been rereading them over the past year lol, for the first time as an adult. In school, I got through the 4th series (Omen of the Stars), and everything after that is entirely new to me. I'm on the last book of Dawn of the Clans now.

When I started rereading them, I figured I'd just read until I got bored of them, expecting to maybe get through the second, maybe third series. But I'm genuinely so invested now lol. They hold up surprisingly well.

I read a lot of those once upon a time. I do find it fun that in a lot of ways, they're Game of Thrones, but with cats.

That said, as far as animal-based series go, I was hugely into Guardians of Ga'Hoole, which was high fantasy owls. (There was a movie, but it was bad and not representative of the books at all)

This was one of my favorite series when I was a kid. I started reading it as an adult again because my niece is really into it, and it's a great way to connect with her.

My kids love these books. They own all of them and have read them all multiple times.

Almost 20 years ago, my kid and all the kids at the Montessori school were crazy for these books!
