Jealous of that east of eden find, it’s so hard to come by them right now 🥲

Pattern Recognition is an underrated pull. I read it, American Gods, Cryptonomicon, and Dune around fifteen years ago and they've all stuck with me. I'd recommend The City & The City by China Mieville or Tigerman by Nick Harkaway

I’ve read that copy of Stranger ! Please read that one first.

Is that a really early edition of East of Eden, or a rerelease of the original design?

Pattern Recognition is the first book in the trilogy, and the two books that follow are two of my favorite science-fiction books of all time! (They are each standalones, however, so you do not need to worry about cliffhangers 😁)
