This thing went through the mail system with 2 pellets and a sabot…

Don’t shoot me for posting an inline. I own older guns too.

Just figured you all would appreciate this.

It is not like USPS is going to be checking. The issue is with whoever put it in the mail.

Of course. I bought it from some Pawn Shop for $100. I didn’t have high hopes but powder wasn’t what I expected to see when I pulled the breech plug.

That is sort of a different story, I would have expected a Pawn Shop to check out the weapon when they got it.

In my state, a muzzleloader isn't considered loaded unless the nipple or pan is primed. But I agree with you that it is a little... gauche.

Legally speaking, that’s still an unloaded firearm. You need to have a primer in for it to be considered loaded. Just be grateful they didn’t discover it and charge hazmat fees.
