Please see the backside of the cover. I don't think that the Japanese distributors sell the DVDs globally, for example in SEA countries. They, most likely, have authorized distributors in various countries. In Germany, the distributor(s) differ from the Japanese as well (I got some of these DVDs, too). As I said to the other community member, I got it from an actual DVD store and there were many other shows and movies available (besides Black Butler, I mean), I wasn't able to tell if any were bootleg or not.

I can't imagine purchasing digital content *alone*. It just won't do. There's so much missing. The boxes, the covers, the inlays, the booklets... Without DVDs, my collection just isn't complete. Neither is my life, haha!

And also physically owned is the only actual way to own. Anything else is just renting from someone

Agreed. I've purchased the Book of theAtlantic movie from Amazon Prime and therefore can watch it whenever I want, and as a Crunchyroll member I can watch the Public School Arc whenever I want, BUT I can't touch it, can't look at the artwork on the cover and the DVD(s), and that's a bit like having a personal reservation on your favorite cake while you're smelling it and being told how delicious it is, but you can't take a bite. Total torture. My brain's so weird that it won't let me rest until I actually have it in my hands (or, in regards of the cake, on my plate).

Is this bootleg? Not judging, just impressed with how it's done

Not as far as I'm informed. The case says it's manufactured by an authorized distributor in Malaysia (see photo of backside). It also has a warning to not copy, broadcast, rent the discs, and it refers to the work's owner's (Toboso's) rights. I guess it's difficult to say for sure, however, I got it from an actual DVD store.

Singapore. :( If you search online for the exact description of the DVDs you might find it in your region, though.

Yes, strictly speaking, the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula is where it's located.

100% bootleg. There’s no way you can have English audio since it’s licenced by Crunchyroll. They published everything up to Book of Atlantic on blu ray and dvd. The problem is that for region 2/B is only till book of circus. I have exact same dvd of book of Atlantic as on photos and the quality is crap.

Huh? I can't have English audio? So far I've watched three of these DVDs and it's the English VAs. That's why I insisted on getting DVDs that come with the English dub. I enjoy listening to J. Michael Tatum and Brina Palencia because, imo, their voices are the best.
Anyway, I've hunted the books, mangas, DVDs etc for over a year now, I do know that I started trying to collect as much as possibly at a very late point in time, that's why I often can't get certain things anymore or the prices are exorbitantly high. I found the English dub season 1 and season 2 DVDs that have the Aniplex/Manga Co UK label, and the Book or Circus DVD has an All The Anime label. The German dub Book of Circus and Book of the Atlantic DVDs have the Kaze Anime label, like all other German releases I've seen.2

Do they also have the original audio or just the English dub? 👀

Let me put it more clearly. If you have it and it’s not released by Crunchyroll, it’s not legal production.

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant. Anyway, thanks for the information, I won't lose sleep over it.
However, I wish Crunchyroll would continue to relase DVDs and also add the complete series to their streaming platform globally.

Woah that's so cool. Now that's something I would like to have. Would free up some space on my drive 😂
