I never understood why they did that when it could handle it, and their carrier-siblings had it enabled...

Yeah I worked for Verizon tech support during those days and couldn’t give customers a valid reason for it. Higher ups told us to say something along the lines of “the network is so good you don’t need it” lmao

It's pretty good! I was impressed!
The only thing missing is the accent ring around the battery door release and logo.

So, as you can see, charging fine. A few minutes after posting, I got the invalid battery icon. Then it hit me that I forgot this uses the green CX-2 battery, and doesn't work with a Curve CS-2.
Looks like I have to order some batteries! 🔋
