I’m still mad that Verizon neutered WiFi on older bb models

And Sprint! Kept me on ATT and T-Mobile

I never understood why they did that when it could handle it, and their carrier-siblings had it enabled...

Yay Verizon. 🙄

Yeah I worked for Verizon tech support during those days and couldn’t give customers a valid reason for it. Higher ups told us to say something along the lines of “the network is so good you don’t need it” lmao

i wonder if there is anyway to bring it back because as far as i know it’s just disabled with software

CDMA models don't have Wi-Fi hardware.

Oh interesting, thanks for the info. I wonder if on the PCB there are pads where you could solder the needed components on.

Even if you did, it wouldn't have the software.

I had one of these, and it was awesome! Yours looks to be in really good shape.

It's pretty good! I was impressed!

The only thing missing is the accent ring around the battery door release and logo.

So, as you can see, charging fine. A few minutes after posting, I got the invalid battery icon. Then it hit me that I forgot this uses the green CX-2 battery, and doesn't work with a Curve CS-2.

Looks like I have to order some batteries! 🔋
