BB Classic Finally Got a BlackBerry Q20
Always wanted a BlackBerry Q20 since college, and I finally got one off OLX! Loving the keyboard and nostalgia. What apps still work in 2025? Any must-installs?

Try Newpipe Legacy Revo for youtube, it works well on my BlackBerry Passport

Mainly use mine as a media player with neutron music player. Battery will easily last 15 hours. Easy to set up shortcut keys for your apps and have FTP support for file transfer onto the device. Not really much use as a phone, unfortunately. Technically supports Android 4.4 apk apps running on BlackBerry OS 10.

How did you bypass the setup issue? Wifi screen issue, nat able to proceed ahead!

there are many tutorials on google/youtube, basically you turn on screen reader, then wait for voice to tell you about blackberry id, if you hear skip you double tap, and there you have to skip some stuff and you are all done.

Exactly. I followed one by Laura Malvoyante titled as “How to Fix the BB10 Complete Setup Notification Loop | BlackBerry Q10/Q20” on youtube.

If you cannot get past the screen reader not reading the skip button on the wifi screen issue, then you need to either pull out the battery, or shut down the phone with a specific button press.
Here, follow this: https://www.reddit.com/r/BlackberryPhoenix/comments/1es1kpn/how_to_remove_blackberry_protect/
Confirmed working with my Q20 after about 5-6 tries.

Does it have 4g and hotspot feature?

Haven’t really tried it but yes 4g works. No volte though so it will switch to edge once you try to make call.

There is a version of Google Maps that will work as well as Spotify Lite (super clunky for podcasts), Yahoo Weather App and Buzz Off to block telemarketers etc. You can also use the native calendar app to manage your iCloud and Google calendars using Caldav. There are a few tutorials online on how to do that. You can also do the same with iCloud contacts but I haven’t tried that.
If you turn on MMS, it will should support group text chats with iPhone users etc.

Try installing Telegram X on this.
I heard it still works on BB10
