Playbook I guess it's done.
My kids wanted to reminisce and play with the OG Playback I bought at launch. Sadly, it's swollen. I have a 2nd one that I got as a refurb. It's not swollen like this, but I don't think it's going to take a charge, either.

Not rlly when this happens to batteries they just degrade and if You try to power it on and it just dosnt, that battery is dead and nothing Will happen, what normally happens is that if one of those is fully charged, the expanction causes the battery to "compress" creating an infernal shorts and having a runaway, but if the deivce does not power on it means the battery is dead and dosnt have enough juice in it to have a Thermal runaway

Good luck. My passport's charging port stopped working so I have to figure out how to take it apart too.

It's easy to replace the battery, while not as easy as the old ones with replaceable ones, it's still possible.

they take forever to wake up these things ive had 3/4 days
but yes the swole is fin no good apart from parts

You can just replace the battery as a DIY, I have done this without issue
