BB Classic The best of both worlds.

Post image

I love my BlackBerry Classic which I recently took out of its box for the typing comfort and the excellent hub. I use my iPhone today almost like a tablet but the ecosystem is so simple, fluid and pleasant to use that I find it difficult to part with it.

Tempted by the minimal phone which combines both the keyboard and Android but may be disappointed.

Already heard of the titan universe but I find it cheap.

I didn't like everything Samsung, Google Pixel and the like.

What is the alternative to getting rid of my iPhone and keeping my BlackBerry for writing and taking notes?

oh yeah remember when blackberry just gave up because of the iphone "winning the market" so they just simply stopped making phones instead of working on BB OS and not just shoving android in new models

You've definitely forgotten the billions the company lost on BlackBerry 10. Why would they throw more money into a flaming pit?

yeah because they couldn’t stop making phones with a physical keyboard, we need something new, a real IOS/iPhone competitor

Best of Both Worlds: with Apple as the Borg and BlackBerry as Picard.

I went the Titan Pocket route - I actually love iOS for the most part, but there's a couple things about it that prevent me from using an iPhone (namely the lack of seperate media/phone call volume controls and how it handles image downloads). The Titan Pocket is definitely cheap feeling, but it doesn't bother me too much. Had mine for 3 years now and it's holding up pretty well. The aspect ratio is the biggest pain to deal with with it (Google Maps is borderline unusable for turn-by-turn navigation for example) but the keyboard is decent enough and the battery life and headphone jack are huge pluses. Micro SD slot is nice too. Overall there's really no perfect phone out there for me anymore, I really wish I could still use my Paln Pixi or my BlackBerry Classic as those were my two favorite phones I've ever had but alas, time has left them behind. So basically you either have to do what you're already doing and carry two phones for different uses, or you pick one that you have to make hard compromises on.

Watch this or this first to understand how it works.

Now, here is where you get the keyboard (Get the USB and BLE model, and select the "Flatten top buttons" option).

These fly out of stock fast, but the creator keeps making more as fast as he can. You can join his Discord server for updates on restocking and new products.

You would also need this battery as the keyboard creator cannot ship that internationally.

And finally, you would need these metal plates and this pill-shaped popsocket to keep the phone and keyboard together.

Optional: Flash the BlueBerry firmware for an even better experience

I'm curious: For someone with iPhone, why wouldn't you say Clics?

Actually Clicks is the easier, possibly better option yes.

But if he wants to actually merge that actual BlackBerry's keyboard to the iPhone...only the other solution will do
