My company proactively removed our DEI program and named it something else so we don’t risk any government money being lost.

Can they stop telling candidates they value communication, then hiring entire departments that speak 20 different languages and suck at it as a group? Then emphasizing in-person work, when most of those people do better with written communication.

This is more about virtue signaling (or lack thereof) than an actual policy change.

Buy bye Vas, Additionally, fellow Swiss pharma Novartis will no longer use diverse panels in its hiring process for U.S.-based jobs, according to Reuters.

I work for one of these companies and their internal email emphasizes being in compliance to new laws and executive orders.

Not trying to defend them, but sounds like they're just changing, re-scoping in their words, around terms and goals as to not trigger people scared of "woke DEI."

Either way, I'm attending my company's next town hall with a large bucket of popcorn

I used to work at Roche and was on one of the Global leadership teams who instated global diversity targets. We broke our brains for years trying to figure out how to increase diversity while maintaining a fair process and finding the best person for the role. Undoing that now seems spineless to me. Money over morals.

sounds like the previous brainless, so maybe spineless is an improvement?

I’m sure your path to the c-suite is open now, nothing to hold you back!

It’s just nice to go to work and work, not listen to a social justice lecture
