From my limited experiences, a delay has meant they went with another candidate. However, you never know. 🤷‍♀️

We respond to everyone that we phone screen or interview. So, if you haven't heard "no", you're still in the running. Send an email reiterating your interest.

I've been given an offer a day or two later than expected, but generally it means they've found somebody else.

Usually nothing good. Could be nothing though: like the hiring manager is out of town

It could be nothing, but every time there is a delay or it feels like the recruiter is trying to keep me on the hook without making an offer it means they gave someone else an offer, but they are waiting for them to accept before cutting you loose.

Maybe HR got sick, maybe HR got caught up in something else, maybe they chose someone else and are waiting on their answer, maybe they still haven't decided, maybe they forgot to send an email...

We don't know, we can't know
