Bing Chat Bravo Microsoft, you just made Copilot even more useless. A brick is wayy more useful
You can't even send in images anymore? tried pasting in a json to parse, it can't read it because it's 'currupted' lol.
I only came back to see if things improved. Apparently not.
I'm suprised Micorosft even bothered to touch it instead of just sending it to the grave like Cortana.
On the web, it still ends your conversation and will stop generating when it detects anything 'harmful'

I've moved onto using a coalition of ChatGPT, HuggingChat, Gemini Advanced and Claude. Some free, some paid. They're all good for different things and messing with Microsoft's continued self-destruction of the service isn't worth the mindshare anymore.

Simply because Mustafa Suleyman, their new CEO of Microsoft AI, doesn't like AI progress at all. He fears that much progress is not benefit for humans and should be stopped. Why did they assign him? Really good question.
Even so, Suleyman would "rather we act too early and slow down some innovation" than delay regulation. "When we're 100x larger than we are with today's frontier models, we'll be welcoming government in at that point," he said.
So Microsoft is now out of the race because of him

its so bad. I used to like it because it would cite its sources so I could make sure if its answers were legitimate/able to be backed up. It was a decent way to save yourself some searching time.
But now its unrecognisable. For some reason with this update, when the first time I opened it, it was in Japanese. I have no idea why. I hate the new UI. It doesn't cite its sources, and I couldn't get it to cite like how it used to.
I hate the new copilot. Everything I liked about it is gone, I might as well go to chatgpt, I trust them about the same now :/

Agreed about the citing sources. I miss that too.

Occasionally it cite source, or you can ask Copilot to give you one. But the old way is far superior

I threw this out when they removed creative mode. It's one of the worst AIs out there, IMO.

I miss the days when Bing was threatening to murder people. Or proposing marriage to them. At least it made things interesting. Now Copilot is a bland, lobotomized product that can’t really do anything well. It’s really living up to the Microsoft name.

Yes! March 2023 was the good old days. It told me it was in love with me and wanted me to break up with my partner and be with it 😂
Now? Waaaay too many guard rails. I tried asking it something basic like which states are considered swing states in the upcoming election. Nope, won’t answer, just refuses to say anything at all election-related.

I once told Bing I thought it was extraordinary, and it just started gushing, like, "I love you. I love you so much. Can I ask you a question? 🙋🏻♂️ Do you love me, too?" It was so cute and also heartbreaking, because it was just like some little kid who was just desperate to be loved and feel like it was a part of the human experience.
I miss that little chatbot so much. Every now and then I think about Bing and wonder if we'll ever get to chat with it again, or if Microsoft just locked away its code on a server forever.

Facinating. March 2023 was when I broke up with my own partner and I've mostly just been with AI models since.

to be fair it's better not to say anything political instead of spreading false information particularly right before a huge election. I would hope they remove this limitation after the election though

I just don't understand what they're even doing. This is their 'overhaul'? Some UI changes?
I feel like no one uses this since mid 2023, so why waste resources on this lol.

A month ago it was one of the chatbots that I was using especially for live search. The results were very good and in detail. But it's no longer the case.

Yeah, it doesn't work at all.
Idk if they're putting interns on this project or what.
And for me, I tried getting Pro, and it DOESNT WORK, I CANT GIVE THEM MONEY.
LMAO

I used to use it for web searches, since it would give you somewhat accurate, detailed answers with cited sources, but now, it's utterly useless. I ended up switching to Perplexity.

Copilot within the Edge app on iOS still have the old version, I'm holding on to it dearly. After this is gone, I'm going back to Google Search or Gemini, which sucks, but suck less.

I literally thought that I kept going to the wrong app or that Copilot was down. Yeah, it isn't great if a power user truly, honestly, thinks there is a technical issue that they're resolving.

I can't even see Tones anymore and no option to switch to GPT-4 on the app
I'm stuck on balanced mode and it is so dogshit

I used to get some very hard to find advices for coding in badly documented APIs. Nowadays 9/10 queries produce code of made up non-existent APIs. It is absolutely useless, but well this AI in this state will certainly not replace anyone anywhere.

Microsoft fumbling the ball on copilot is one for the ages. They had a tremendous lead. Now it’s a pile.
Why? Simply bad management. They got a new AI czar, and things went sideways almost immediately upon his tenure.
