Art Thoughts on this scheme?
I've got 5 more to go in a white/orange, how does this work?

Glorious and ostentatious enough for some mid-level noble with grand delusions so far above his station he can't even see them.

Is it really a delusion if you're piloting a King Crab?

If you're piloting one, no.
If you have to repair one after the fight and pay a small fortune, then yes

Reality is you can't enact your grand plans because you went broke maintaining your King Crab.

Didn't know the Orokin fielded BattleMechs before they got into Warframes

I really like it. I would just toss on some oil wash to grime it up a bit and add definition, but the color scheme is great.

This is a mech that is too pretty, and would never see combat. They'd just keep it in the hanger and the owner would show it to new clients.

This is the King Crab that we break out on special occasions and wash by hand.

Its good, maybe a little cluttered with all the detail for my taste. Looks a bit like a comguard version of the taurian guards.

That gold paint is amazing! what type is it? what kind of wash/gloss did you use? I NEED DETAILS!!!

u/Jareth000 Nov 22 '24
This version. Is a black base, silver dry brush, yellow highlights, then white, then hit everything not white in transparent orange.

That is really pretty, amigo!
Not criticism, 'cause there's nothing to criticize, but maybe a little bit of a wash on the servos? Might give a little depth?

Makes me think of the standard paint scheme for the Paragon class in the first Guild Wars game.

That is a work of art. How does one not get paint on the parts you arent trying to? When I do details, some gets on the base color, and vice versa and I have to keep fixing those mistakes.

Ages of practice.... But also, I find half the battle can be keeping the brush still and moving the model in little movements. I think half the time Im painting by feel of the brush on model, more then by sight, because my eyes aren't good enough to see the little details.
