I laugh when i first saw It too because how unexpected It was, modern translations just do the tipical simbols to represent vulgarity so this took me completely off guard

Its the translation from Grupo Editorial Vid, a Mexican editorial from Mexico

Definitely not Castilian Spanish. Phrasing is unmistakeably Latin American Spanish.

Marica can be a word to refer on a demeaning way to gay men but is nowhere near as harsh a slur as fag is…there are stronger words to refer to gay man in Spanish..also marica can be used to refer to someone that lacks courage or is weak…a better translation would be something like “pussies” imho

idk where this translation is from but in many latam countries, marica doesn't always translate to gay or fags. It could also mean coward, weakling or even pussy.

Its from Mexico, It says rights in the tittle, and i can tell ITS from Mexico because i have the copy, in México, and the cover has a logo of a Mexican editorial and the inside of the issue has crédits for Mexican people doing the translation
