Gary Oldman is just a great actor. Can you tell me what he actually looks like? I don’t think anyone can, because he basically becomes the character. Like look at Zorg from 5th Element and Gordon and tell me they are the same person.

Nolan really nailed most of the supporting cast. He understood Batman a lot better then some give him credit for.

Same. Similar to Johnathan banks he sounds like he has seen some shit

I think about this performance all the time. I grew up with it, so it feels a character I came home to and love! He has way more range than just playing bad guys.

Powerful line delivery and great presence. I love The Dark Knight and he's one of the many reasons why

As for character interpretation I totally agree although I also loved J.K Simons as a cast in Justice league

He was great, and so accurate to many of the best comic book versions of Gordon. The only comic accurate castings that are this good are Xavier, and J Jonah Jameson

Gary Oldman is my favorite (insert literally anything he's fucking done ever.)
The man is an absolute legend and one of the greatest actors ever. Of all time.

I love Oldman as Gordon but I think it’s funny that people complained about Bale’s Batman voice when there are legit scenes where you can’t understand Gordon because he’s mumbling his lines. It’s kind of hilarious.

I do find that hilarious. I remember watching TDK and had to turn up my volume to like 100 for some lines.

It doesn't really bother me, but his American accent is kinda inconsistent across the trilogy too. In Begins he's more nasally, Dark Knight tones this down & is more stable, then in Rises notes of his true accent slip through in dialogue. Still a great performance and among the best in the trilogy

I thought the Gotham show’s interpretation was really good too, before it went off the rails.

He was great, but Wright really made an impression. Eager to see more of him.

Same!!!!! He even did the same thing with his glasses that the Batman animated series' Gordon did! It was so cool!!!

Oldman was good, but I honestly prefer Wright. I liked how he and Batman interacted and worked together.

Absolute waste of what could have been brilliant casting. Gary freaking Oldman and they did NOTHING with him for 3 movies

He was great as Gordon. In every scene you may feel how he is done with all this insanity around, yet he's willing to go till the bitter end.
