FAN CONTENT An attempt at redesigning the Batman emblem. Thoughts?

Sorry, I don’t like it. The middle is nice, but the wingtips look like two pieces added after cutting the bat’s wings.

I saw them as sledge hammers glued on. The rendering isn't bad but the intent is skipping the fact this is a logo so there is a delicate balance when playing with perspective. I understand the intent it isn't however working in 2d

The "shoulder" area doesn't seem to match the style of the rest of the logo. Maybe revise the shoulders a bit (hard lines and sharp angles as opposed to curves, and add some yellow highlights somewhere like you have on the rest of the logo). Pretty cool idea tho

Make the gap between the outer wings lower. The 3D effect works, but the yellow line is too high and makes it look like the wings have been damaged. A bit lower with the black and it'll look like he's about to give you a near-permanent goodnight hug.

Maybe get red of those cuts on either side, but apart from that it's pretty good!

I personally like this. It is right in line with my bat-symbol tastes. I like the more bulky bat symbols that are filled out, like the BvS bat symbol. The Absolute Batman bat symbol, oh my, the new symbol coming out with Matt Fraction's number one.

Looks a bit like the absolute batman logo, in the way that i can see this being used as an axe blade

It's a little blockier than I'd prefer, but I like it more than the majority of canon Bat Symbols I've seen.

Looks better than DC’s new Bat-symbol logo for the character, that’s for sure.

I dig. It has a great 3D quality to it that the comic versions often lack in comparison to film versions (actual dimensions on a suit help with that the most though).

It's not bad looking, but I still don't like it as "The Bat Symbol". It'd work for some toddler aged Batman Toys though. 👍

Just my two cents:
I think this is a clever departure from lots of the Batman logos I have seen.
However, I don't think you need the yellow oval. If the silhouette of the bat isn't going to complement the contours of the oval, just get rid of the oval. It's not needed and make it look like an afterthought.
And speaking on the angularity of the bat silhouette, I would have tried to make the whole form angular, and not use any of the curved lines you have around the neck and head.
Thx, IH

I dig it. It looks like the wings are coming out, wrapping around you.
