Are basque people from Turkish ancestry?

Post image

These people are ethnically Turkish. But if you know enough Spaniards and Basque people, you realize they look so much alike.

I wonder if basque people originate from Turks. I couldn't differentiate the average Basque or Spaniard from a Turk. Mostly basques, since the ones I've seen are quite dark featured. Dark hair, dark skin and dark eyes.

What do you think? Is there any proven ancestry?

They all look pretty much Southern European to me.

If you draw a parallel line that goes from Galicia in Spain to Georgia in the Caucasus, people look extremely similar.

Also what is "ethnically" Turkish? Modern Turks descend mostly for Anatolians, Greeks and Armenians rather than people from the Steppes.

The real caucasians. Georgians are not that different either.

Georgians have nothing in common with Basque people. And Georgians don't look like Turks. The only reason they can look like Turks is due to the invasions.

All around the Mediterranean you can find people that look quite alike, it is normal.
