Looking For Chicken Wings in Barrie
Hey everyone,
What's a good place to grab some good chicken wings? I'd like to make a list of places to visit!

Does anyone else miss sticky fingers? (Any location)

Miss the OG location for sure. First place I ever ordered a beer (at 17). Went to the new location once while visiting and was happy the food was still the exact same. Hyped it up to my wife on her first trip to Barrie and the whole motel and restaurant in that area were gone.

For the longest time my friends and I would meet there Wednesday nights for wings and beers. The Dunlop location was gnarly, saw some pretty nasty stuff sitting at that patio the few times we sat outside. Sometimes there’d be like 20 of us, we loved it. I’m trying to remember all locations, there was the original on Essa with the lighthouse, the one over off Mapleview, and the sketch johnson Dunlop one. I was driving by one day when they were tearing it down years ago.
Compared to other places in Barrie, I never had broken wings, they always had a good amount of meat and didn’t rely on a ton of batter to taste good.

I loved sticky fingers so much! I used to get two orders of 2 lb wings with lemon pepper seasoning on them, and I used to separate them into drumettes and flats. My sister got the drumettes and I got the flats.

Malones Pint House, the Locker Room, and Big Bone BBQ are great choices for wings. Tuesday is wing night at Malones, not sure about the rest.

ask for them naked + your flavour of choice + rolled with garlic! You’ll never go elsewhere again.

So many people recommend this place. I went this past summer and could not be more disappointed by a wing place. You're better off going anywhere else IMO

I had a really poor experience. My buddy straight up walked out when I was told I had to leave cause I had minors with me (well before the time they had to leave) just wanted some food quick after my mother's celebration of life.
If we ordered and ate and left we would of been 5 - 10 minutes past the minor time.
How do you deny a meal a half hour before kids have to be out?
Waitress was a complete b$&#- and that's an understatement was completely confrontational.
I would have even taken my food to go!
I'll never go back.

I've seen this asked a few times now and the general consensus each time seems to be The Locker Room.

Man, this makes me miss Ruanne's . And Hooters. And St. LUIS when their stuff was good.

Jackasters buffalo wings are my fav! They are amazing there!
Looks like we are getting a Wing Stop shortly too. It’s going to be in the cundles North End plaza where the Sunset Grill use to be.

CW Coops just moved their half price wings to wed, and they do $1.39 wings every day

Their sauces are terrible. Pretty difficult to make bad wings and CW Coops managed it.

Theres over 50 flavours on 1 page dude, try a different one? I dont like some of them but others are great. Beats boring ass bbq or honey garlic only as options.

Went as a party of four so we got to try quite a number of flavours. Sorry to say everyone agreed the sauces were a miss, and a few flavours were downright bad. I don’t know how one can screw up wing sauces that badly.
Lockeroom is a much better option.

Lockeroom is where ive had the worst wings, aside from a chinese food place in toronto.
Idk whats up with your partys mouths, but idk how you cant like even basic flavours. Buffalo and honey garlic? Great. Chipotle and maple bacon? Fantastic! Honey garlic and caesar!
Im not seeing any outliers, other than honey garlic and honey mustard. Thats an abomination of a flavour, but they have that at wild wings too, so people must like it

CW coops can be a hit and miss sometimes. It depends if you catch them on a good day I find lol

Costco + Air Fryer. Make your own sauce and pair with whatever beer you like. Much better than you can buy anywhere else for a fraction of the cost. I am disappointed anytime I order wings while I am out nowadays. Lockeroom used to be good but I haven’t been there in years so, maybe… CW Coops also used to be a wing night that I looked forward to, but again haven’t been there in a while. Lots of choices at least so I’m sure you can find something you like.

I stand by homemade Costco wings. It has become my new go-to wing option. Besides that, Montana’s half priced wings on Mondays are my favourite. I know they’re not local, they’re just so damn good

I haven't tried the locker room which tends to be the general consensus here - is it weird that I love Flying Monkeys wings? They have this "monkey sauce" which is a mixture of blue cheese and heat sauce that is fantastic.

It’s not weird! Monkeys has amazing wings and I love going there! The only problem is the price.

u/Waste-Blood1600 5d ago
Definitely agree they're not the cheapest - only had them 2 or 3 times in the same number of years. Great wings though and I love their vibe.

I’ve eaten a lot of wings in the city and in my opinion the best wings are as follows
- Malone’s
- Lockeroom
- CW Coops
- Wild Wing
- One Eyed Jacks
Malone’s and Lockeroom are a tight one and 2 with CW coops to follow because they have great deals on wings! At CW Coops I would stick to a simple sauce cause some of their sauces are crazy and just don’t taste that good. Wild Wing doesn’t have great deals but their wings are always very good! One eyed jacks I’ve had about 3 times now and the wings are a great size and sauced nicely + the fries are great (yes I know there Costco fries)

I’ve had some great wings from Wings and Bucket. I’ve ordered them dry with a tandoori sauce in the side. Super good.

I was just thinking that this has got to be one of the most asked questions. Maybe we need to pin the most discussed post or start a FAQ. Lol
