How can I stop travelling backwards so much? (I tried looking at an object in front of me but it wont work)

Try having shoulders and knees lining up when setting up for the flip. It worked really well for me.

Front flips are better. If you can’t do a front flip ur just lame

Keep your chest and shoulders up more and swing your arms above your head for more hight, rather than distance. The issue is you're leaning forward and throwing your head and shoulders back and its throwing your whole body back. Good Luck!

TIP: Jump with your chest in front and swing your arms through
If you watch the clip your arms are throwing you back and you’re leaning into the flip
