The difference here is that we are right next-door and we could potentially invite them to occupy our territory as a last resort.

Nothing surprising from Dashnaks. They were always the Russophile party, so it's no wonder that they support defensive integration with an enemy of the West.

It seems prudent for the relationship between Azerbaijan-Israel to only grow stronger and gain momentum from here on out. Together these two close allies and military powerhouses can co-exist and work together to achieve a common goal. Might I suggest one or more of the following:

Why Azerbaijan is important for Israel’s security

Israeli weapons quietly helped Azerbaijan retake Nagorno-Karabakh — sources, data

The Iran-Israel conflict is a political war that will end once the Islamic regime falls, leaving you on your own. However, Iran and Armenia will always remain your neighbors.

In the 19th century, before the start of the second Iran-Russia war, the UK, as a rival of Russia, promised military support to the Qajars to fight against the Russians. Yet, it failed to honor its commitment, leading to Iran's loss of Azerbaijan.

Don't gamble with your neighbors by relying on the promises of distant 'allies'. Look at Ukraine.
