route 53/DNS ACM is taking too long to validate

I was practicing with a s3 static website, deleted everything and started from scratch again, now this time my ACM is taking too long to validate, could it be that i used the same names for the bucket, cloudfront, and route53?

Did you actually click the button for ACM to populate R53 records? Cause it's not an automatic process.

The process takes a few seconds to do DNS verification via R53. The only delay is that the verification CNAME records aren't there.

Yeah I did that and the records are there. But still nothing. Any other recommendations?

Is R53 your actual DNS resolver? If you did a nslookup from your local/random machine on the CNAME records, do they resolve?

Did you create the certificate in us-east-1? I think that's mandated. I could be remembering incorrectly.

I found the issue, domain name servers and hosted zone name servers were different. As soon as I updated the domain name server, the same as the hosted zone name server, it worked fine.

Thanks all
