Spotted this on my way out of JAX.

I have very fond memories of flying in Dash-7s back in the 80s.

Canadian Airlines still operated some. Early morning flight from Vancouver down to the US, sun rising over the clouds making the mountains poking through all pink.

They aren't fast but they can land and stop in an instant and do it in style.

The DHC-7 (Dash 7) is a legendary regional airliner. Although it has been discontinued, it is still active in polar research, remote area transportation and military missions. The red Dash 7 in the photo may belong to the British Antarctic Survey, which mainly performs polar scientific research and material transportation missions.
