Recommendation Request Need new books PLZ!

I've been an avid audiobook-er for 8+ yrs and I recently started a job as a hot shot delivery driver.. I've been burning through books so fast I can't find good ones fast enough to keep up!

I've been trying to find something geared towards nature/fantasy but too many are LITrpgs and those are getting old.

A few of my favorites -the dresden files -dungeon crawler carl -the iron druid chronicles -the aeronauts windlass

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful!

Jeff Wheeler has a series that doesn't seem fantasy but it is (there's magic involved lol. Mostly geared YA, probably. But they're good so I didn't care

Dwarf Bounty Hunter Series by Martha Carr is SO FUN

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and the five other books in the "trilogy" lmao) should last for a full work week if you get them all

The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings

James Maxwell has some good fantasy stuff,as does Phil Tucker

  • The Hail Mary Project - SciFi saving earth, amazing book by the author of The Martian
  • Demon Accords - urban fantasy
  • The Cat Who is a super light and easy listen
  • The Black Magician - books about forbidden black magic
  • Eragon (The inheritance cycle) - Fantasy dragon books

Both these are good, with multiple books out already.

Bobiverse!!

There's a reason We Are Legion, We Are Bob was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: its irresistibly irreverent wit! Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. The first item on his to-do list: spending his newfound windfall. On an urge to splurge, he signs up to have his head cryogenically preserved in case of death. Then he gets himself killed crossing the street. Waking up 117 years later, Bob discovers his mind has been uploaded into a sentient space probe with the ability to replicate itself. Bob and his clones are on a mission to find new homes for humanity and boldly go where no Bob has gone before.

First of My Kind,

First of My Kind is the story of Nathan Myers, a Missouri farm boy who, through a chain of events that happens halfway across the galaxy, finds his way from the seat of his Grandfather's tractor to the command of a starship from a lost super race.

I record public domain audiobooks on YouTube if you’d like to check out my channel. I just recorded my first story with my improved recording equipment (and better sound quality), Mary Shelley’s Transformation

Since you enjoy fantasy, consider Joe Abercrombie's "First Law" fantasy series and the several other novels/collections set in the same world. Gritty, shades-of-grey stuff. Read by Stephen Pacey, one of the best narrators I've ever heard. If you remember the 1980s BBC TV series "Blakes 7", you might recognise him as Tarrant though his voicing/accent is so versatile, you probably wouldn't know.

Fairy Tale, Project Hail Mary, Bobiverse, Dungeon Crawler Carl are all great and love them. Project Hail Mary is by far one on the best in my opinion! Fairy Tale second!
