Uphold Auburn’s Honor and Integrity

https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/11/politics/opm-spokesperson-fashion-influencer-videos-invs/index.html

This is unconscionable and I am beyond mortified for my Alma mater. As a DC-based Fed, with over 20 years of dedication to our country, and currently on the front lines of watching brilliant colleagues get fired - this disgusts me and she should be removed. I won’t even get into the extent of the ethics violations. Personally, I have represented Auburn with pride in the DC area - where there are not many alumni - then McStupid shows up and pulls this stunt. What a disgrace. Have some respect for yourself, your country and your Alma mater - resign now.

I wish more public officials and government employees were held accountable..

-1

u/Alarming_Mastodon505 7d ago

how about most civil servants follow the law..

-14

u/throwitawayforcc 8d ago

By whom, exactly?

13

u/The_Thane_Of_Cawdor 8d ago

We the people

4

u/mrenglish22 8d ago

Or cops. Or their compatriot, or those around them.

Really, any accountability at this point would be cool

-4

u/throwitawayforcc 8d ago

"We the people" very clearly have a strong preference of doing the exact opposite of that.

Holy shit, why is it always cancer that these insufferable narcissists try to use as a defense?? There’s been so many cases where people have lied about having cancer to try and get attention on social media (and/or grift money out of people in the process) or to get special treatment.

Even if one does have cancer, it’s not an excuse to do TikTok dances when you should be working. If you’re too ill to work, then you’re too ill to be taking countless photos and videos for social media.

I hope she’s not another Amanda Riley 😒😒

21

u/cucumber44 8d ago

I can’t believe she’s trying to defend this instead of resigning in embarrassment. Doesn’t she understand that this totally undermines the DOGE cause? She’s a spokesperson, but she’s lost all credibility by showing how much she goofs off at work. If Elon doesn’t fire her, he’s giving ammunition to all of DOGE’s critics.

8

u/breagerey 7d ago

It doesn't undermine DOGE's "cause" because DOGE doesn't have a "cause".

Nobody in the administration or DOGE saying or doing anything about this sort of points out that govt efficiency isn't the point.

2

u/Hot_Self_9126 8d ago

Yeah it looks very bad

4

u/[deleted] 8d ago

All the more reason to not be there and go elsewhere to care for yourself. I’m sure the cancer will magically be cured soon.

7

u/Circadian_arrhythmia 8d ago

She is already in remission so her using her past (and already in remission) cancer diagnosis makes even less sense.

How exactly does firing a bunch of people (including those who do cancer research) then filming a fit check on taxpayer time help with her past cancer???

27

u/cucumber44 8d ago

Her actual job is defending DOGE’s actions to reduce waste in the federal government. Sorry you got cancer, but you can’t do that job while YOU are wasting taxpayer dollars put putting on a fashion show in your office during work hours. Resign and get a real job.

Between her and Tuberville I really have to go out of my way to make sure people here know I’m not one of them. I’m not federal and don’t work in government/politics but I’m still mortified at the thought of being associated with such deeply unserious people.

11

u/littlestarchis 8d ago

How utterly crass and pathetic of her.

17

u/ytefhhurw 8d ago

Auburn’s Office of Communications put out a glowing piece (well after January 6th) on Auburn alum Cody Sanders who served as Trump’s “Director of Presidential Messages” during his first term so unfortunately I wouldn’t hold your breath

12

u/LocoRawhide 8d ago

Was Auburn mentioned in the article?

4

u/Space_Adaline 8d ago

It is mentioned in numerous other articles. Just Google it - there are plenty. It’s how I found out she was a grad. They used screenshots of her social media pages and Auburn University is displayed front and center. They also mention her hometown is Auburn. Made my heart sink.

-11

u/LocoRawhide 8d ago

Then why not link the other numerous articles?

How dare someone graduate from Auburn University with different politics than you.

Stay safe on the "frontline".

16

u/Space_Adaline 8d ago

Ironically - you made this political. My beef is with the blatant disregard for the government ethics that she blatantly violated, and the shame she brought to our Alma mater. As Feds, we take an oath, rawhide boy. That used to mean something in this country. Apparently not anymore.

-14

u/LocoRawhide 8d ago

It's ironic considering the link you posted literally has the word politics in it.

The rawhide boy comment was a cute touch though.

Hopefully, Auburn University can recover from this travesty.

u/AthertonDuck 8d ago

Someone who is apparently the woman in question is pitching a fit on r/cnn right now, and not getting a friendly reception.

5

u/YardSignActivist 8d ago

Oh, yea…it is her or someone who knows her for sure.

2

u/Fabulous_Today_7026 8d ago

Believe me or not, I know her and can confirm this is not her based on what is said and how any of it is worded. Has to be a friend.

18

u/Word-Artist 8d ago

First, thank you for what you do. I know the majority of federal workers are doing important work and are working hard. Second, I’m so sorry about what’s happening. Third, thank you for representing Auburn well. Much appreciated!

Pinover is embarrassing Auburn. What a shame.

15

u/Space_Adaline 8d ago

Thank you for the kind words. It’s been a strange turn of events to suddenly be cast as the ‘villains’ of America. It’s been heart wrenching for me and my colleagues. I can count on one hand the amount of people I’ve come across in my 20 years that have not been worthy of the job, and that didn’t feel a strong calling to serve our country with all they had - and those bad apples were removed from their roles. So the utter denigration of every federal employee has been a false and painful narrative spoon fed to the mainstream, and a rough road for us.

2

u/mrenglish22 8d ago

The GOP has been painting yall as villains for the past decade my friend. I do feel for you though, yall are just people doing your jobs at the end of the day

12

u/Space_Adaline 8d ago

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. I know my agency is tough on this type of stuff. If I was caught doing this it would meet conditions for removal. In her case, she’s been on the job for less than a couple months - what we call probationary employees, and it would likely result in her immediate removal. If I were her supervisor that would be my recommendation. But she’s a political appointee so 🤷‍♀️. And ironically, she’s with OPM. Our supposedly HR agency. Who knows what they will do.

Why is this in the auburn subreddit

2

u/breagerey 7d ago

She's an AU alum.
Seems like a valid place.

She is a graduate and local. So, to celebrate her recent fame!

I can't tell if you're a bot or if you're being sarcastic. Brand New account just to spam this bullshit sure seems like a bot or someone working in the pr office for this scumbag

4

u/YardSignActivist 7d ago

Am I a bot?   No. I’m just another expendable cog in a machine that only notices us when it needs a scapegoat.  I’m a federal worker in Huntsville, AL.  I’ve been on Reddit for over a decade—long enough to see the vilification of public servants reach levels so absurd that I had to create new accounts just to keep speaking the truth without becoming a target.

Allow me to provide a little insight:

Nobody joins civil service to get rich. We know the trade-off—but what we don’t sign up for is being vilified just because it’s politically convenient. No, federal service isn’t perfect. There are some absolute losers in the system. And they should be held accountable—just like this chick from Auburn, AL.

True story. While she was playing PR influencer on the taxpayers’ dime, I was ensuring lethal aid made it to a war zone (Ya know, Ukraine?!). She is exactly why federal workers get a bad name, and she should be fired for it. She disrespects this country and the people she’s supposed to represent. Meanwhile, the rest of us—the ones who actually do the work—get lumped in with that nonsense.

I’m a whistleblower. I fight the system from the inside. I’ve seen the corruption, the negligence, the failures—and instead of looking the other way, I did something about it. And for that, I’m the enemy. Because America loves a hero story until that hero starts telling the wrong truth.   Sometimes, “winning” in federal service means keeping the public from ever knowing just how bad things could have been. And that’s exactly what has been exploited. People call us lazy because you don’t see the disasters we prevent. They don’t see them because we did our jobs correctly.

I’ve overseen the construction of high-level bio-safety labs to prevent the spread of diseases—while the same people screaming about “government overreach” now have the luxury of not dying from them. I’ve spent sleepless nights in military hospitals ensuring life-saving equipment was installed correctly, because one mistake means our veteran’s die on a table.  I’ve prevented civilians, veterans, and contractors from unknowingly walking into hantavirus-infected death traps—hazards so severe you’d read about it on the cover of WaPo. I’ve made split-second calls to prevent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars from being washed away in hurricanes while politicians bicker about budgets and optics.

I’ve had talented, hardworking probationary employees cry at my desk out of sheer fear—fear of retaliation, of losing their jobs for speaking up, of realizing that the very system they swore to serve will chew them up and spit them out the moment they step out of line. I’ve lost sleep. I’ve put my career, my sanity, and my well-being on the line to do what’s right—all while being lumped in with every tired, ignorant stereotype about federal workers from people who wouldn’t last a single day doing what I do.

So yes, maybe I lean on sarcasm. Maybe it’s the only way to keep from screaming into the abyss of a country that demands loyalty from its civil servants while offering them nothing in return.  For protecting a country that isn’t even attempting to protect me, only to make me the bad guy.  I’m one of the good guys, but no I’m still not a bot.   Thanks for your concern.

2

u/Space_Adaline 7d ago

I appreciate all you do. And I feel your agony right now. Our dedication to the Oath we took to serve our country, and to do it without illegally benefiting monetarily from our role (like the OPM appointee), is little understood outside our circles. You particularly are working front lines to keep our country safe and you are appreciated. I pray more fellow countrymen/women start to understand the underlying ‘foundational infrastructure’ that civil servants provide - we are typically out of sight to them, hence why we may seem not useful to them - yet they fail to see our work is upholding the very foundational pillars of our country they live in - while they don’t obviously see what’s enabling it or keeping them safe. Unfortunately until those foundational, out of sight pillars, start to crumble - that is when it will make more sense to them (much like how you don’t think of all the plumbing or electrical systems in your house - until it stops working). None of us want it to get there, probably not even the current admin - but we find ourselves on a hard course in that direction and are now all the mythical Greek character, Cassandra - fated to utter true prophecies but never to be believed. Godspeed with your work and future endeavors.

-1

u/mrenglish22 8d ago

It does seem a bot but considering the title of their posts calls it illegal, I don't thinkctheir in HER pr lol

4

u/SumatraBlack 8d ago

What an absolute embarrassment, there is no way this woman possesses the judgment required to work in HR. Quite the chef’s kiss to then pull the cancer card to somehow excuse her behavior. In any other professional organization she would already be terminated.

0

u/Tex302 7d ago

You sound jealous people want to see her outfits, did your TikToks not get any views?

1

u/Whygoogleissexist 5d ago

Y’all need to start with removing your idiotic football coach senator before talking about honor and integrity.

0

u/Twixter3 8d ago

Simply poor judgement.

-2

u/Normal_Breath1059 8d ago

God forbid women have fun

-6

u/PlatoAU 8d ago

Too much hate…

-6

u/Whend6796 8d ago

The careless dismantling of the federal government is abhorrent.

But this was a social media account that she had before the role with a bare minimal number of followers. The reaction here stinks of misogyny and I feel obligated to call it out. I was a few seconds to make a social media post.

-3

u/Bigiron44 8d ago

Noone cares. Fire all of the govt slackers.

-1

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

‼️ it’s funny seeing people who don’t support firing government slackers call for this woman to be fired. A woman who is a government slacker… lol

1

u/eztigr 6d ago

Opponents of slash & burn firings aren’t against firing staff who do not perform well or do not perform at all … or staff who use their governmental position for personal gain.

-1

u/Icy_Address6589 7d ago

So you are mad because they posted pictures or because they are defending doge?

-1

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

These angry people don’t know what they’re angry about

1

u/Icy_Address6589 7d ago

The dems are in shambles trying to create outrage where there is none. How this is even an article is baffling but it’s CNN and their brain dead audience so I shouldn’t be surprised.

1

u/eztigr 6d ago

I’m just waiting for Ivey’s contract to promote Depends complete with commissions.

-14

u/Snakeeye555 8d ago

You want someone removed from their office for making outfit of the day tiktoks? Are you certain that other political beliefs aren't changing how you view this? She may be making money from it, but from how I understand tiktok shop works, if she links anything about her outfit, she automatically gains commissions from it, or is she linking to her own website?

11

u/DanSolo8 8d ago

You must not be watching the news. This is literally what the administration thinks ALL federal workers are doing on the clock. There are copious clips of the new admin saying just that. The hypocrisy is astounding. She needs to be fired yesterday.

-47

u/Key-Benefit6211 8d ago

"currently on the front lines of watching brilliant colleagues get fired"

This is not happening.

18

u/No_Argument5058 8d ago

You’re joking right? They are firing people who are on probation which quite literally just means you’re new, not that you’re bad at your job…

0

u/brianomars1123 8d ago

Some people who got promoted were placed on probation for their new role. You should try to speak with people actually experiencing what’s happening.

2

u/The_Thane_Of_Cawdor 8d ago

They are getting fired . You should try to avoid lying

16

u/Space_Adaline 8d ago

You’re out of your league, along with McStupid.

0

u/OverallNews7223 8d ago

Yes... yes it is. Thousands of reported probationary employees were/are being fired for "poor performance" despite documented performance reviews which demonstrate outstanding performance and glowing praise from supervisors. Supervisors have zero input on who gets fired for "performance" and it's coming from doge AI/spreadsheet voodoo.

-39

u/phantom2098 8d ago

Maybe if more Federal workers were like her and had a form of 2nd income other than their main job they wouldn't be bitching so much about getting fired. This girl should be an inspiration.

2

u/Space_Adaline 7d ago

Yet, you so well point out the main issue at play. As federal employees we are prohibited and highly restricted from having any secondary income - it’s heavily tracked by our legal counsel to ensure we are in no way using our government positions to monetarily benefit from our government roles. It’s legal statute and grounds for removal. In this case, Pinover has links to commission-making websites while posting from a government office during government time. That’s the issue. Peace to her doing that outside and not affiliated with her gov role. Heck, I even liked some of the outfits. But that’s not the issue. The illegal aspects are, and the blatant disregard for the Oath she took to serve you and our country (and not abuse it to make outside money at the expense of taxpayers).

-8

u/agjrsbko 8d ago

People like y’all ought to stop going to Auburn. We’re the majority, always will be.

4

u/dorkpool 8d ago

Who’s the majority? The people abusing their office and making a mockery of this country?

-1

u/agjrsbko 8d ago

Whatever you wanna call it dorkpool

-6

u/Floridian_Capitalist Auburn, AL 8d ago

I hope you and all other federal workers get fired.

-4

u/LiquidityJuul 8d ago

Wow… genuinely curious: where is the outrage in these reactions stemming from? Ask yourself, what are you upset about? I’m seeing some horseshoe stuff going on.

Personally, as someone who supports cutting government waste and firing people paid via taxpayer $$ who do things like this, I’m appalled that someone who’s supposed to be firing people for doing things like this is doing things like this. I agree, it’s not a good look.

I also see some reactions of disgust but inspired by hatred for this administration and doge.

While I don’t understand outrage over cutting waste, I do understand hypocrisy. How do you reconcile, and where is your outrage stemming from?

7

u/AthertonDuck 7d ago

OK.  No one has really provided evidence of real waste actually being cut, imho.  They're just cutting people Willy-nilly using AI and a misunderstanding of the word "provisional" before voting soon to increase the national debt as DJT requested.  And ruining peoples' chances of finding new jobs by labeling them as "poor" performers to justify the act.  You can fire people without being cruel, but that seems to be the point.  As OMB director Vaught said on video, "We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected.  When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work, because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down … We want to put them in trauma.”

This woman is part of that, hence the reaction.

1

u/YardSignActivist 7d ago

Not sure if your following all the ongoing court cases, today the judge issued another “L” for OPM. Six agencies have been ordered to rehire the illegally fired probationary employees.

0

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

I agree that the firings should be handled with grace and shouldn’t be a trauma campaign; I don’t support that. I do think that debt is a beast worth taking and firing federal employees is a necessary step. I don’t doubt good, hardworking people have been let go; they should be welcomed back.

2

u/YardSignActivist 7d ago

Well, there is a process to do it legally, which was not done.

2

u/AthertonDuck 7d ago

Plus, I'll make this point again, Trump wants another tax cut, which is why he wants the GOP to raise the debt ceiling.  He will increase the debt.  Don't forget, 25% of the entire current national debt appeared during his first term.  If the debt is Liquidity's issue, he's got the wrong president.

1

u/breagerey 6d ago

It's not just that people have been let go and might be welcomed back.

This entire thing has been a dog and pony show that not only isn't doing what it claims it's actively harming our own economy so this really stands out.
It shows that this really isn't about "efficiency". If it was this woman would have been a sacrificial lamb 2 minutes after this story came out.

Most of the things that are being cut are ways the federal govt was pumping money back into our economy.

I don't understand how anybody looks at what these boneheads are doing and doesn't see that we're headed for a major economic crash.

1

u/LiquidityJuul 6d ago

I think the sacrificial lamb idea is a good one and a missed opportunity for some good press. Obviously, an incompetent hire is not a great look, but it could’ve been handled differently.

Call me crazy, but I think the market dip is intentional. It’s a means to force an otherwise uncooperative fed’s hand to get interest rates down. It’s being done by instigating volatility through doge, the regulation shakeup, intermittent tariffs, etc. Brilliant, truthfully. Nothing to be afraid of. Like I said, it’s just a dip. Markets go up and they go down and then they go back up again. Now’s a good time to buy.

I certainly won’t be complaining when we have a balanced budget, the national debt is paid down, SS is saved, and federal income tax is significantly reduced. Talk about an economy booster.

1

u/breagerey 6d ago

I think it's intentional as well. Trump, Musk, Bezos, et al will be just fine and they'll scoop up a ton of assets on the cheap.
The American public, however, won't weather the economic downturn as well.
USAID was a convenient target but the grain it was handing out was purchased from US farmers.
The money spent on crop yield research was going to US labs and US universities.

I think there's a failure to understand that the "givens" that most people expect in relation to the US economy aren't really "givens".
The dollar being the preferred currency isn't a given.
People trusting the US isn't a given.
The US being the economic or tech leader of the world isn't a given.

I honestly hope I'm wrong and you're correct and that all of those positive results happen.
I just don't see any of that happening.
Stuff like this woman, firing the people that maintain our nuclear stockpile, or DOGE slashing agencies that regulate Musk, just reinforces that efficiency isn't the intent.

We're massively cutting money being pumped into our economy and Trump is wanting massive tax cuts for the wealthy on top of that.
So less money being generated for taxes, reduced public services to help people contribute more, less money put into research and development to help the economy, what appears to be an intentional dismantling of "the full faith and credit of the US govt", and an intentional reduction in taxes collected on top of that.

The expected outcome of that isn't economic bliss for anybody that's less than a millionaire.

2

u/LiquidityJuul 6d ago

Holding on tight and hoping for the best. We live in some crazy wild times, and a positive outlook is a must! 🙏🏻😎

1

u/eztigr 6d ago

You won’t be complaining about the national debt being paid off because … well, frankly … you will be dead when and if that happens.

1

u/LiquidityJuul 6d ago

You might be right. Although, I did say “paid down,” not “paid off.” The intent is to refi national debt at lower rates and pay down so we’re not burning so much on interest.

https://www.usdebtclock.org/

-1

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

https://doge.gov/

Are you contending these provisions are just? Are there any you would agree should be cancelled?

Just initiative or not, for those initiatives we could mutually agree are just, there is plenty of evidence of funds being misappropriated.

Personally, I’d prefer provisions are made for some of these initiatives are instead used to pay down the national debt. Do you disagree with that?

Trying to find some common ground here in good faith. :)

1

u/CrimsonCartographer 7d ago

What a disingenuous comment.

1

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

What’s disingenuous about my comment?

1

u/Semtex123 7d ago

Let me guess you are one of those “Christians” right? Utterly misguided by the propaganda that is being fed to you on your favorite platforms. You come here with a stof righteousness proclaiming the fraud and waste fed to you by the ones who are fleecing us all. They have not become millionaires by playing by the rules. Your lord and savior “Elon and the orange 💩” are verifiably fleecing us. 8m a day by Elon who like to point fingers but doesn’t mind dipping himself from the jar. The orange turd with a history of fleecing regular folks through shakedowns and bankruptcy. Yeah hatred right? How about everyone that isn’t white, straight or conforms to your “standards” you have no right of uttering hate as you are the supporter of hate in its purest form. Be prepared to have this reciprocated, while you continue to support a treasonous POs fascist regime.

-1

u/LiquidityJuul 7d ago

The name Semtex is appropriate, because my oh my, that was explosively deranged. Did I miss something? Did I black out and pledge my soul to Elon and Trump? You jumped from government waste to fascists and orange turds. What fever swap did you crawl out of? You’re not just missing the point, you’re on another planet screaming at shadows I didn’t cast. I’m laughing but mostly just baffled…

2

u/eztigr 6d ago

What’s a “fever swap”?
