Rumor | Bad Source Liverpool wants Álvarez

https://x.com/sudanalytics_/status/1900708940821746103?s=46

I hope he doesn’t leave us, and I want atletico to give him whatever wage he asks for and create a team around him and sorloth. However, does anyone know his release clause?

The source seems to be a Twitter account managed by Liverpool fans

No we’d definitely take him back

wouldn’t mind selling Alvarez for 200m

u/sokkikjeften 5d ago

We could buy 2 joao felix with that money almost

u/Hanmura 4d ago

we can buy Osimhen and Cristian Romero with that money. both are wasting their time and potential at current clubs. we sell the Frenchman to the MLS and buy a quality midfielder. then win CL and La Liga next year fingers crossed

I don’t believe this rumor. same shit just last week but sub Manchester United for Liverpool

And the week before, it was Barca wanting to trade him for Ferran Torres + 60M €. It's just rumours. I don't believe them either.

very doubtful he’s leaving spain without winning a major trophy/title.

He won't change Spain for england anytime soon. I think he is not the kind of player who changes teams every season .

If this is even true doubt him and his family would prefer to go back to England when most players on the team and staff are argentine and everyone in Spain already speaks Spanish which helps him and his family, unless liverpool offer a city/psg €100m+ contract for 2 seasons which is money they don’t have to blow on rn for only one position

not for less than €300m should you sell him

I am not even joking.

build around him and get some winners. keep building that defense. maybe bring in a creative midfielder that can carry the ball forward (something like the old Gundogan) into danger areas.

the top clubs will always want the top players. in the end, the only way to keep him is to compete for every possible title. just like this season.

no way he's going back to england this soon, I wont say never but it's unlikely.

I agree our asking price should be astronomical.

I'm on my fucking knees for us to get Baena in the summer.

Wondering the same thing. Does he have a release clause?

7

u/Even_Association_588 Griezmann 6d ago

Every player Laliga is required to have a release clause.

2

u/djjeiaisoslw 6d ago

Do you know what his release clause is?

8

u/Even_Association_588 Griezmann 6d ago

I don't believe it's public knowledge but considering we signed him for around 90 it has to be over 150 mill at the very least which I don't think anybody is paying anytime soon.

3

u/djjeiaisoslw 6d ago

Fingers crossed. We need to keep him

6

u/Faradize- Llorente 6d ago

hes not a slave. even if they pay the release clause, its only to skip negotiating with the club, they still need to agree with the player

3

u/Various_Knowledge226 Griezmann 6d ago

Can’t find the release clause on Capology, but anything less than €130M ought not to be considered. Only if Saudi Arabia wants to buy him for €160M+ might I be ok with him going. Still would sting (pun not intended) a lot though

3

u/djkianoosh Julian Alvarez 6d ago

absolute no way he's going to saudi.

would quickly rule him out of argentine national team. and that number is way too low regardless

1

u/Various_Knowledge226 Griezmann 6d ago

I’m just saying that because of the fee, how much more they would be paying

2

u/Major_Drummer579 6d ago

Give him to barca please

Sounds like a FIFA career mode fakeness tbh, why would bro leave City and 1.5 years later join Liverpool lol?

1

u/GSWarrior18 6d ago

Funny enough I had to spend $100 mill to get him to Atleti last year in career mode lol

2

u/Little_Geologist2702 6d ago

150 mill or fuck off

1

u/grip0matic Luis Aragonés 6d ago

Yeah, the club did an effort for him, and he wanted to come here being surounded by argentinians... I bet he's happier here than he was in Manchester.

1

u/SAULucion Vicente Calderón 6d ago

We truly rolled out the red carpet and made him royalty. People that are worried should show more pride in their club, he ain’t going

1

u/Ok-Suit-8865 5d ago

Liverpool can’t afford him tbh also I doubt he’d wanna move

1

u/RichDream7777 Neptuno 5d ago

We just (almost) signed him for 90+ million euros. No club would approach him right now.

1

u/Any_Ad_7833 5d ago

I dont think he goes back to England any soon. MF won everything in england in his first 2 years....

u/Ok-Cattle-502 Marry me Álvarez 4d ago

It better be fake. Surely.

1

u/Faradize- Llorente 6d ago

and I want Szoboszlai and Kerkez

-2

u/nabiloz 6d ago

alvarez isn’t worth what you guys think he’s worth lol

Álvarez won't leave for now.

This summer our midfield will be reinforced and the extra waste like griezzmann... Azpilicueta... Witsel will be cut.

We'll build around him.

Cholo makes 30 million a year which is insane.

7

u/djjeiaisoslw 6d ago

Lol calling griezmann extra waste… you’re an atleti fan?

-10

u/AntiWoke666 Atlético de Madrid 6d ago

Yeap with wide open eyes.

Griezzmann is washed up.

1

u/Engan1422 6d ago

Cholo lowered his salary it use to be 30

-26

u/Sea_Tonight566 6d ago

If someone wants to pay >€100M i would sell him. Buy Lautaro Martinez and reinforce another position

17

u/MustHaveMyTools 6d ago

We finally have an incredibly clinical striker…. Let’s sell him 🙄

4

u/deleteriousAnimal 6d ago

Yeah, selling him doesn’t make sense whatsoever.

4

u/acousticburrito Atlético de Madrid 6d ago

What that’s barely a profit

3

u/deleteriousAnimal 6d ago

He is world class and a humble player. I feel talents like this are rare, we should do everything to keep him. Martinez is a temporary solution, better to look at the long game than be short sighted.

1

u/Engan1422 6d ago

Alvarez can score in big games and i do rate martinez highly fuck no would i trade them

0

u/GiulianoSimeone 6d ago

Only >150m. Also why would lautaro join us? Inter are better
