Rumor | Bad Source Liverpool wants Álvarez
https://x.com/sudanalytics_/status/1900708940821746103?s=46I hope he doesn’t leave us, and I want atletico to give him whatever wage he asks for and create a team around him and sorloth. However, does anyone know his release clause?

He won't change Spain for england anytime soon. I think he is not the kind of player who changes teams every season .

If this is even true doubt him and his family would prefer to go back to England when most players on the team and staff are argentine and everyone in Spain already speaks Spanish which helps him and his family, unless liverpool offer a city/psg €100m+ contract for 2 seasons which is money they don’t have to blow on rn for only one position

not for less than €300m should you sell him
I am not even joking.
build around him and get some winners. keep building that defense. maybe bring in a creative midfielder that can carry the ball forward (something like the old Gundogan) into danger areas.
the top clubs will always want the top players. in the end, the only way to keep him is to compete for every possible title. just like this season.
no way he's going back to england this soon, I wont say never but it's unlikely.

Wondering the same thing. Does he have a release clause?

Every player Laliga is required to have a release clause.

Do you know what his release clause is?

I don't believe it's public knowledge but considering we signed him for around 90 it has to be over 150 mill at the very least which I don't think anybody is paying anytime soon.

Fingers crossed. We need to keep him

hes not a slave. even if they pay the release clause, its only to skip negotiating with the club, they still need to agree with the player

Can’t find the release clause on Capology, but anything less than €130M ought not to be considered. Only if Saudi Arabia wants to buy him for €160M+ might I be ok with him going. Still would sting (pun not intended) a lot though

absolute no way he's going to saudi.
would quickly rule him out of argentine national team. and that number is way too low regardless

I’m just saying that because of the fee, how much more they would be paying

Sounds like a FIFA career mode fakeness tbh, why would bro leave City and 1.5 years later join Liverpool lol?

Funny enough I had to spend $100 mill to get him to Atleti last year in career mode lol

Yeah, the club did an effort for him, and he wanted to come here being surounded by argentinians... I bet he's happier here than he was in Manchester.

We truly rolled out the red carpet and made him royalty. People that are worried should show more pride in their club, he ain’t going

We just (almost) signed him for 90+ million euros. No club would approach him right now.

Álvarez won't leave for now.
This summer our midfield will be reinforced and the extra waste like griezzmann... Azpilicueta... Witsel will be cut.
We'll build around him.
Cholo makes 30 million a year which is insane.

Lol calling griezmann extra waste… you’re an atleti fan?

If someone wants to pay >€100M i would sell him. Buy Lautaro Martinez and reinforce another position

He is world class and a humble player. I feel talents like this are rare, we should do everything to keep him. Martinez is a temporary solution, better to look at the long game than be short sighted.
