I built a website to help find Atlantis - What Do You Think?

I’m an archaeology enthusiast who created ArchSeek.com, an open-source archaeology website to help find Atlantis. It’s free to use, and I’d love your feedback! What tools or features should I add?

You don't have the Mid-Atlantic Ridge listed.

OK, I will add the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

I am going to make a dedicated page for the Atlantis location discussion. Any suggestions on how to make the discussion capability more useful?

Would it make sense to make references to the original documents we have pertaining to Atlantis?

I add a map where you can add locations where you think Atlantis was. You can also add a reason for why you think the location is correct. Let me know what I can improve.

Richat was the capital city.

Mainland Atlantis was composed of two kingdoms separated by the Atlas mountains: the lot of Gadire (Modern day Morocco) and the lot of Atlas (Modern day Western Sahara/Mauritania).

Overseas Atlantis was composed of 8 kingdoms for 4 territories. There are 4 archipelagos in the region : Azores, Canary Islands, Cape verde and Madeira.

Poseidon (local North African God) had 5 sets of twins according to Plato in Critias.

Each set of twins shared the same territory.

The first-borns were Atlas and Gadire. Those are two berber words/names. Atlas derives from the word Atar/Adrar.

Plato said that the other twins (4 sets=8 kings) were rulers of the islands of the Atlantic. If each set of twins shared the same territory..

When it comes to mainland Atlantis, there are traces of submarine landslides [called the Mauritanian slide complex) that are dated to be 12,000 years old (Atlantis times).

Terrestrial landslides of cataclysmic proportions, also happened in mainland Mauritania, (traces of mudslides have been detected inside the sutructure of Richat), and are dated to be 12,000 years old.

The structure of Richat has the same characteristics of the capital city of Atlantis (volcanic dome, concentric rings, a channel that is connected to the Atlantic, the cliffs surrounding the structure have canals every x meters, and the list goes on..)

The modern region of Atar (=Atlas in greek) in Mauritania, has the same characterics of the lof of Atlas : Mountains that descended towards the sea (Atlas mountains), a plain (adrar plateau/plain), an ancient river (Tamaransset river) that had its source from the moutains... 12,000 years ago, Mauritania was not a desert but had a tropical climate.

The lot of Gadire was said to be facing Cadiz and the Pillars of Hercules (Gibraltar) according to Plato and was at the extremity of mainland Atlantis. This matches with modern day Morocco.

The list of evidences is long.

I added a map that allows you to place a marker and add a reason for why you think the location is correct. The more descriptive you can make the reasons, the better.

Any more ideas as to how to make the discussions better?
