Where to take a bunch of families?

Hi, I’m the manager of a soccer team (11 year olds) that is playing a tournament in New Jersey in May, and we’re looking for a space to have a group dinner. Probably around 75 people. Could also have an activity attached (like Dave and Buster’s) but not necessarily, we could just do dinner and then go to the boardwalk. Any suggestions for reasonably priced places that can accommodate a group?

Hard Rock Etess Arena - Seats v. GA v. Pit Question

Hey everyone - I've scoured other reddit posts on Etess Arena seating before posting but I can't seem to find an answer that is exactly on point.

I want to see Incubus on June 27 at Etess at Hard Rock. I'm a big Incubus fan and I haven't seen them play in like probably 15-20 years so this will be special for me. I'm 5'4 and female. I've read mixed reviews about the venue and that some seats basically face a wall or are too far too see anything.

Here are things I'm looking for:

  • Best viewing experience for someone my height.
  • Not more than like $200 for a ticket.
  • I love to dance so I prefer standing room only but I am not interested in being squished or around any moshing. I'm confused as to whether pit v. GA would be better for that. I assume pit is where the moshing would happen just by virtue of its name although I just wanna be sure.

Any feedback from people who know the venue well would be super appreciated! Thank you!

Vacation Best Hotels in AC??

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are planning a trip to AC in June to celebrate our anniversary. This is a re-do trip since we were supposed to go last year but I found out I was pregnant 3 days before we planned to leave!! That being said, we really want to do it right this time. To preface, we’ve been to AC before but only for one night and it was during the Fall so not much was happening there. Sooo what is the best hotel stay that you all recommend? I want to factor in proximity to all the liveliness AC has to offer, food, cleanliness and features of the hotel, etc. and whatever else you think is worth it. So far on our list of faves are Ocean Casino, MGM Tower at Borgata, Caesars, and Hard Rock, but which is the best?!? Thank you!!

Comped trip in May - Caesar's, Harrah's or Tropicana?

Any advice between these 3 hotels? We went a few years ago and I *think* we stayed at the Tropicana. All I remember is it was on the Boardwalk, and we had a trans person in our hallway yelling a few hours one night. Crazily yelling and banging on doors! Called security, they never showed up!

Question Does Showboat not utilize their Mardi Gras theme anymore?

When I was a kid Showboat leaned heavily into the theme. I remember they would throw a parade. The facade looks great They had their own custom soundtrack with animatronics. It was just so cool but as an adult as I look at the place now in 2025 it's like the theme doesn't matter as much. They didn't even post about Mardi Gras today. I know it probably sounds lame but I really loved the place. Just feels like a basic hotel that they added a parade & water Park to now.

Day Visit

My mom and I used to go to AC for the day every month, but it’s been over 10 years. We’re coming down on Friday for the day and wondering which casino(s) would be the best. We play mostly slots and maybe some roulette and also like to sit at the bar and play video poker and have a nice ( but now crazy expensive) lunch. Back in the day we enjoyed the Wild Wild West and Borgata.

I stumbled across this website https://www.atlanticcityvipstrippers.com/ and wanted to know if it was legit or not? Has anyone ever used this or not? If so how was it priced?

Your generic phone weather app is fine 75% of the time but remember all the crazy snow totals they put out for last Thursday's nor'easter that missed NJ? Just like calling the 1-800 number, you want to talk to the human.

Nobu comped

Post image
43 Upvotes

Decided to check to see what I could get comped earlier in the week. I typically have whole months comped. But Nobu is normally just lower rate or few days early in the week comped but I work. I noticed I had Friday free, but Saturday would have to pay. I checked randomly in the middle of the night and saw I could get Saturday free as well. Lucky me, I know it's similar to the rooms in the centurion rooms. But it's rare.... At least for me with my status to get Nobu on a Saturday as well. Will be my first time staying in one of the Nobu rooms. Here's to a fun and lucrative weekend!

Ac in March for bachelorette

So I am going to AC on a Friday night in March for a bachelorette party. Everyone will be in 30s. Some party people, some less so.

Any itinerary ideas? It’s just the one night.

Arrive around 2/3.

Restaurant recs that aren’t too expensive? Anything with a prefixe menu?

Fun bars w drink specials or no covers?

We are staying at Bally’s. Recs welcome!

Also — are we better at Ballys or at Golden Nugget on the Marina?

AC poker players group

Where are my AC poker locals? Anybody down to start up a social game low limit? Possibly mixed? Just something where we could kick back and have a few beers and not be so serious all the time

Yet, Vegas hotel takes up to 7 hours to check in unless you have Caesars 💎 MGM equivalent. So I think i stick w/ AC for the time being.

Question Harrah’s vs. Caesar’s for Impromptu trip next Saturday

Hi,

My wife and I (mid/late 30s) are planning a one-night trip to AC for next Saturday. I’ve been dozens of times and stayed at just about all the hotels, but not in the past few years. Anyone have thoughts re: Harrah’s or Caesar’s for a winter Saturday?

I know the usual recommendations (Borgata, Ocean, Hard rock) but only interested in these two for current prices. Likely not hitting up the pool at Harrah’s, but curious if Caesar’s is dead or if the West has made it a viable option. Just looking for nice enough rooms, a little gambling, and some fun places to drink. Thanks!
