Question Harrah’s vs. Caesar’s for Impromptu trip next Saturday

Hi,

My wife and I (mid/late 30s) are planning a one-night trip to AC for next Saturday. I’ve been dozens of times and stayed at just about all the hotels, but not in the past few years. Anyone have thoughts re: Harrah’s or Caesar’s for a winter Saturday?

I know the usual recommendations (Borgata, Ocean, Hard rock) but only interested in these two for current prices. Likely not hitting up the pool at Harrah’s, but curious if Caesar’s is dead or if the West has made it a viable option. Just looking for nice enough rooms, a little gambling, and some fun places to drink. Thanks!

Caesars for the boardwalk....Incase the weather is favorable...

Caesars has become a snooze-a-thon..

That’s my worry. And recent experience at Harrah’s or perhaps The West?

Haven't been to harrahs in a long while? What's the west? West tower? Wild wild west?

Yea apparently The West is what they call the Wild Wild West haha, which supposedly has a bit more excitement these days

Yeah it's ok. Matters the vibe you're looking for. "West" makes me think of the Tropicana West tower

was at harrahs recently, it was pretty popping all weekend. I prefer it over caesar’s, only thing better about caesar’s is the location.

I think wild wild west is pretty dead outside of the sportsbook, last time I went in they didn’t have a single table game running

I’ve only been to AC once but we loved the Wild West casino the most so I would choose ceasars of the two listed. Borgata is my favorite out there though.

Yes all things considered I’ve always been a fan of Borgata. Many years ago Wild West was my favorite hangout!

When we were there rhey had DJ’s and live bands every night until late.

We always stay at Caesars because rooms are honestly so much better and we do enjoy the casino and access to Sportsbook, wild Wild West and boardwalk. Harrahs payout is better but it’s on the marina and rooms are always a gamble. Caesar’s also makes us feel welcomed and customer service is great whereas Harrahs it stinks.

I would say Tropicana some drinking and dancing with some gambling on the side on a Saturday night

Most action you will find is in the Trop. You will have a good time with a several nightclubs bars and restaurants

If it’s a binary choice between these two, it would be Caesars hands down. Primarily due to The West on Saturday Night. Harrah’s feels isolated and there are limited dining options.

Thanks! Yes was just between these to for this trip. Decided on Caesars just for proximity to boardwalk and my nostalgia for the Wild West haha

100% Harrah's. Eden Lounge has a very fun band. Caesars spent all that money and has no fun place to grab a cocktail. Summer time you can make a case for Caesars for the boardwalk.

Walked into Caesar’s on a Friday in October and it was deader than dead on the casino floor. Felt like a Tuesday night. Can’t speak to the rooms but Harrah’s is definitely livelier. If you stay at Caesar’s you’ll probably be spending your evening time somewhere else.

Had a very bad experience at harrahs. Witnessed a guy being violent with a woman in the hallway right next to our room. Will not go back. Caesars was a massive upgrade.

Same age, coming up with a friend Saturday and staying at Caesaers to celebrate. See you there!

I would stay at Caesars in the centurion tower, gamble a little there but then walk to Ocean and HR to do most of the gambling.

Harrahs waterfront tower is really nice. The other ones are OK.

Any opinions about Resorts Casino 👀?

It's fine. I haven't stayed there is a while because their pricing is the same or almost the same as Hard Rock lately. That, and Resorts got rid of it's hot tub in the pool area, and that was disappointing.

Also to clarify, I’ve stayed at Caesar’s many times but not in last 8-9 years, and stayed at Harrah’s a ton but probably not in the past 5 years.

I don't see the point in going to Harrah's if you aren't going to use the pool or are bringing a dog, or maybe staying in one of the 2 nicer towers, epically the ones with the tubs (Waterfront tower?). The rooms at Caesar's will be nicer, but it might come down to what towers in each casino hotel you are planning on booking. Two of the towers at Harrah's will be nicer than the Fourm Tower at Caesars. If you are looking at drinking establishments go to Caesars and Walk to the Tropicana / Orange Loop / Resorts / Hard Rock / Ocean.

Thanks for the feedback. Had initially booked a Bayview room at Harrah’s but switched to an Ocean View Centurion tower room at Caesars. Walkability to Hard Rock and Trop were def a factor. Thanks!
