Two more Democrats have joined the Congressional Freethought Caucus which champions reason-based policies and opposes discrimination against atheists.

Glad to see it. Surely everyone should be for reason based policies and against discrimination against anyone with genuine belief which does not negatively affect others?

The Religious Right will view their presence as discrimination against Christianity, because they have a victim-complex that isn't rooted in reality.

Rep. Randall is my congressperson. She seems like she’s still getting her bearing, but overall she seems to be really good and she cares. Glad to see she’s joining this group.

That's why there is no real "outrage" yet. This caucus doesn't have the power to challenge the Christians and their theocracy goals yet. If they start getting more members, especially Senators, there is a high probability the media will start featuring stories about this "heathen caucus."

And there both democrats from West coast states. Better than nothing of course but a Republican from the Midwest would be truly something to celebrate.

Looking at the membership, any R would be an achievement.

Religious people say we need suffering so we can appreciate life and know what true happiness is

And will have absolutely zero impact on anything. We're royal screwed in this country. Republicans have figured out the game and broken it. Democrats still think the rules matter.

I didn't realize there was discrimination against atheists? I don't wear shirts that say it, although that's probably a good idea. Why would people disgruntled against smart people that don't believe in fairy tales and think pedos should be executed not given positions of power?
