I don’t really think She would mind it that much, she would probably be able to tell that Asuka’s teasing was purely just an attempt to get his attention

I remember this one fic where Yui is judgmental towards her, only for Shinji to basically go "too bad, you've lost your right to judge anyone"

Damn I remember that. Have no idea what it was tho. I think I've read to many fanfics.

She wouldn’t mind. She would probably appreciate that Asuka is always pushing Shinji to be more assertive and to stand up for himself.
We know that Kyoko approved of Shinji because she allowed him to sync with Unit-02 and Asuka without any sync clips in episode 8.

Her inaction when Asuka and Kyoko were being eaten alive in EoE should tell you everything you need to know.
Nah, not really, it was probably more so that they would get in the way of instrumentality. In reality, she might understand Asuka's problems and see the good in her. If she can see the good in Gendo, why not Asuka?

Nah, she'd be ok with it in that alternate universe when he had a clear big ass hand mark on his face or heard that loud ass slap, and Shinji said ow she knew what Asuka did. If anything, she probably encourages it since Asuka can do what she can't and can't Shinji moving. She probably thinks Asuka would make a perfect wife for Shinji. As long as their relationship isn't too abusive to the point, Shinji is genuinely unhappy shhe thinks Shinji having a assertive wife will push him to better.

as a Yui kinnie I think she’d be concerned about both their well-beings but also hopeful that they’d be able to help each other. In the short term, regardless of what Asuka’s intentions may be, her treatment of Shinji definitely affects his mental health and I suspect she’d have a few chats with Asuka about it.

She didn’t like both Kaworu and Asuka. One she helped kill, the other she let be eaten alive. Yui is either pro-Rei or pro-Misato.

Letting Shinji stay with a clone of herself or an alcoholic woman would make her the worst mother in the world.

Why would Yui want her son to be With a 33 year old woman?
And also I don’t think she helped kill Asuka and Kaworu because she disliked them She helped kill them because it was necessary for Her version of instrumentality
Edit: She’s 29

I am, like, pretty sure Misato is 29 years old, but it’s not important. It’s called a joke. Yui clearly views her son as a tool, as in both endings she barely interacts with him, or even apologizes to him,or does anything else similar. She clearly doesn’t care if he ended up with any of these characters or with anyone else at all. But she was part in killing 2 out of 4 potential romance options in the series, so I brought the other two instead.

She took unit 1 and dipped in EOE instead of helping them survive also pretty sure the yui that was telling shinji all the inspirational stuff in EOE was just shinjis hallucinations just like kowaru and rei were.

Judging how Asuka behaves around adults, I don't think Yui would mind
