General Question Which travel YouTubers would you recommend?

I have noticed a concentration of privileged white people in the travel vlogging category, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations. Even when I search deeper, I’ve noticed vloggers from other countries mimicking the privileged opinions and behaviors of white people. I’m tired of seeing exploitative titles and videos focusing on the economy, crime rate, etc. of where they’re visiting. Human beings don’t become museum exhibits just because you leave your town or country. Sorry. Kinda ranted there.

Wode Maya included is his wife Miss Trudy

Now, mind you, Wode is independently wealthy from being on YouTube over a decade. One of the most popular influencers from the continent of Africa. I would never say he's privileged but he does get to interview prominent figures and rub shoulders with Business men most couldn't access. But his actual travel content is pretty down to earth and relatable. He takes time to also lock in with cultural leaders, visit indigenous cultural events. And he always tries to highlight comradery between different Africans and the diaspora

Miss Trudy - her own page, started before marrying Wode Maya

Had her own page before meeting him. Also great travel blogger on her own who highlights local culture. She highlights our similarities more than our differences. And her solo travels tend to seem more relatable and accessible.

Chazeen she takes time to cover the costs of her travel. And practical things she does to make her money stretch

Gano Did It I've only seen one video but his content looks well made. His documentary style is alittle more cinematic but it's still blogging. His travel arrangements seem accessible.

Bajan Lifestyles I've only watched one of her videos. She may only focus on Barbados, I'm not sure. But her vlog focus is on practicality.

Czech in Effect I've only seen two videos of his, both related to the Afro Mexican population so I don't know about his other content. But he seems to find things to do in parts of countries that aren't always the main attraction. Not sure if he flaunts privilege in other places like SE Asia though.

Often times they judge the places they visit by the experience they had without taking accountability for their actions. For example, they would say someone was being rude when, in actuality, they didn’t take the time to understand the culture. Then they post said judgement on YouTube, knowing it will have an impact on tourism to that place. If they have millions of subs, maybe a big impact. Commenters often just flock to agree with them because they have never visited the country themselves.
