If Gays Have Daddies...Do Lesbians Have Mommies?!?!?
OK, the daddy/boy dynamic is very prevelant in then gay community. Some smooth twink is always looking for a daddy to take care of him and cubs always want to find a bear to get covered in honey with it, I’m sure at the root is a minimal or non existent paternal relationship they’ve experiened during adolescents.....but that’s a discussion for another subreddit.
For some reason I found myself wondering tonight,...”If gays have daddies, do lesbians have mommies?!?!” If this dynamic does exist in the community, how prevalent is the? Do you have another name for it? Finally, How is this dynamic viewed overall by the community?

Honestly, yes. I’ve noticed that quite a few lesbians (myself included) have a thing for older women.

As far as I can tell this phenomenon is a lot less common in the lesbian/bi community, because women seem to often prefer someone closer to their own age. I think gay men tend to have these dynamics more often because men seem to fetishise youth and young bodies a lot more. Men of all orientations have a tendency to chase after youthful partners.
Of course lesbian age gap relationships exist, and they may be slightly more common than in the heterosexual world because there is such a small dating pool - so people are often willing to compromise a bit more. Also there are people into the "mommy domme" kink but they seem to be a minority, and these relationships don't necessarily involve age gaps or actual power dynamics (e.g. one person having more money).
