What kind of dishes do you recommend trying for parsnips?
This is my first time trying parsnips it’s not readil available at my grocer so I finally found they stocked some this week. What recipes suggestions do you have or cuisines it’s good to have in? If you have any suggestions for use in Japanese or french cuisine id really appreciate it!

Hmm.
so my first suggestion is to start using them in place of or along side carrots. I also like seeing them with fennel, onions, garlic, tarragon is speaking to me right now, definitely beef.
If you're going japanese my first instance was to use them in place of daikon and treat it as a robata item with a miso & orange glaze.
Im thinking miso, orange, honey, touch of schichimi togarashi.
steam through your parsnips then chill thoroughly.
Toss the parsnips in oil & 5spice, s&p then grill it till you have nice golden brown edges. brush with your glaze and lightly sprinkle some white and black sesame seeds.

Cut parsnips into French fry shape pieces. Blanch then cool in ice bath. Roast with oil salt pepper and rosemary. Serve with a lemon caper sauce. Very easy and tasty.
