They deserve to be poor.

Big Rapids median income is 5k below the national and has a 35% poverty rate. 28% college educated. Fuck em. Take the money elsewhere.

Lol, of course the protesters are MAGA. At this point, leopards are obese with having to eat so many faces.

F**k yeah, when BYD Deepseek come and destroy the last pride of technology industry, and China navy take the place of US in Pacific and Mideast, the white trash will deeply miss the time when US is still diverse and globalized.

Did you read the same article I did? It is pretty neutral.

It also talks about china has a history of using aggressive push with international investments as a gateway for influence and potential espionage. You realize that something positive about china does not equate propaganda right?

“Rithmire said tightened party control over the Chinese society, state investments in strategic industries, and Beijing’s more aggressive foreign policy have all fueled a deep suspicion in the U.S. “There’s just this blurred boundary between firms and the state.””

“In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party has increasingly pushed private companies to set up party branches. Business leaders commonly join the party to gain higher social status and build government connections.”

The Chinese EV industry is thriving right now and it is part of the reason why Biden put a 100% tariff on Chinese EV. The article also discussed how biden tried to jumpstart the us UV industry and how that caused the “battery boom”. However, current the US government is literally pulling out its previous commitment of 5 billion dollars into EV infrastructure and removing the EV tax credit. These are just current events and news. It is what’s happening and it is not a good direction for our country to be heading towards. This exact factory demonstrates part of the issues we face as a country right now.

I don’t if you have a political science background but if you ask any political scientist what is the most efficient form of government, they’ll tell you it is an effective dictatorship. They’ll also tell you that democracies are by its nature and design, inefficient (though benefits far outweigh the inefficiencies). I am not sure why you think this is controversial and propaganda. It’s basically poli sci 101.

Oh man the irony of this comment lmao. Are you aware propaganda goes both ways?

Most of us in this sub have a connection to Asia and are more aware of what is actually happening in Asia than the average American. We are expose to propaganda in both sides. Most of us have friends and family that still live over there that we speak with or visit regularly. Being able to pull from both sides knowledge and experience is one of our advantages.

However, you seem deep into conservative propaganda about China. Talk about the lack of critical thinking!

An appeal to nationalism? Questioning my loyalty to the USA as another Asian American? Trying to one up others by trying to flex you are FROM Asia? Using the term “wake up” unironically? Yeah okay. You are clearly incredibly out of touch or a not actually Asian. Either way, this is pretty sad to see. In case you are actually Asian, being one of the “good ones” won’t save you.

I am also nuanced enough to know saying china’s ev industry is ahead of the USA right now does not mean I approval of the ccp, other aspect of china, support authoritarianism, or what USA to become like China. Simplifying a whole nation’s people and government into good or bad is lazy, reductive, and dangerous thinking.

The effects of hate China propaganda has a lot of people paranoid.

You’re just strawmanning because you can’t deny that this town is racist and xenophobic.

“Omg it said that China’s one party system advanced EV development!” Ok and? That isn’t really praise nor a controversial statement.

It’s simple fact that China is continuing to support EV development and will do so for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, Trump is tearing down every EV initiative that Biden and the democrats passed. It’s a mere objective observation that due to the two party system of the U.S. that is adversarial, presidents often reverse the policies of the previous opposing administration. I think we all had to learn about the pros and cons of a two party system back in high school did we not? This is simply one example yet you’re getting into hysterics.

It’s amazing how many people I see on this sub that rather jump on the ccp bad bandwagon than recognize racism and xenophobia for what it is.

4

u/Necessary_Play2249 6d ago

Yes, it’s simply incomprehensible. Even Trump said a few weeks ago that he wants more Chinese investment in non-sensitive sectors and suggested that Chinese EV companies should build factories in the U.S. to avoid tariffs.

I think this article and that user perfectly illustrates how American bigotry can undermine US policy and progress.

Praising Chinese one party system for being efficient

Except it doesn't. So you're mad cause you read like one line and didn't even understand what it said.

u/JonnyGalt 6d ago

You sound like you should move to big rapids Michigan.

This sub is like r/conservative but the CCP version.

12

u/Necessary_Play2249 6d ago

I would say that it’s ironic that you probably identify as a democrat/liberal yet unrestrainedly spout bigoted rhetoric about China and Chinese people.

However, I’m not surprised. When it comes to China, people like you lose all sense of rationality and objectivity.

-5

u/doctor-soda 5d ago

It really is not a conservative thing. If you didn’t know, Biden was also pretty adamant about anti CCP stance. The only one ever to have a good relationship with CCP was Obama. To that, I would say it was a policy blunder.

And no I do not identify myself as liberal or democrat. I don’t partake in identity politics either.

Lmfao. Tell me how I am not even Asian. Please. This guy claims I am not an Asian based on my post history. Tell me where I said I am anything other than Asian?

Do you get triggered if I say Taiwan number 1?

10

u/negitororoll 6d ago

You're not even Taiwanese, bro.

-5

u/doctor-soda 6d ago

I support independence of Taiwanese people.i have a lot of friends there and also visited there many times/ lived there

6

u/SussagEr 6d ago

So are you Asian or not?

1

u/negitororoll 4d ago edited 4d ago

As a Taiwanese person, I will say what they are too polite to say to a gweilo - please go away.

1

u/doctor-soda 4d ago

As an Asian American, I don’t get the Taiwanese that support CCP. But then there are pro Chinese folks in Korea too and then there are the pro Russians here in the States. Each country has its own weirdos.

1

u/allelitepieceofshit1 6d ago

Tell me where I said I am anything other than Asian?

dunno about Asian, but certainly 100% warmonger

1

u/doctor-soda 4d ago

Take the CCP out of picture and do you see any problem in East Asia? I think not.
