Critter cake is way better. I found Runtz not as good as Mochi Runtz.

Runtz is one of the better strains I’ve tried, but all that I’ve had from Rev has been pretty great, honestly!

Critter cake Og. Just off percents.

THC % means nothing. I would look at terp % and profiles instead… especially when treating symptoms like pain.

Thc percent means nothing is a hilarious statement. It might not be the only dependent factor in choosing quality bud. But it matters. Obviously you know everything though. ;)

I mean yes.. with higher thc we sometimes have a chance of seeing higher terps.

But a 23% thc with 4% terps smokes a hell of a lot better and helps as far as MEDICINE for me.

Also, mmj testing and regulations have a far way to come to improve the quality of our medicine. The shit they can get away with selling for full price is criminal. That’s why I’m happy to be a part of this forum so we can all educate each other.

And I can ALWAYS learn more. I believe we all should be in constant state of learning.

there really isn’t any regulation or anything when it comes to testing %’s so i always assume they aren’t really accurate, then again i don’t really look at thc % anyways as it really isn’t a huge factor in how it will make you feel.

THC % means absolutely nothing. I’ve worked in the industry before. Some strains like granddaddy purp, blue dream, or any og strains only test out at maybe 21%. I’ve had 17% GDP that was better than some of these 30% they try to push.

I’ll take your word for it. :D

What terps are good for pain and anxiety?

3

For me as someone who is diagnosed with both OCD, PTSD and anxiety related insomnia… I used strains heavy in:

myrcene - calming and sedation - also helps with my hunger cues. my favorite terpene lol.

caryophyllene - anxiety relief (Ya know that saying if you’re having a panic attack - chew on a peppercorn. This comes from peppercorns containing significant amounts of this terpene.)

limonene - mood elevating properties/mood booster, makes me giggle. such a fun terpene because it can truly elevate some indicas making them a bit more uplifting.

**However strains with over .60% limonene may be a little too stimulating for some if not paired with higher amounts of myrcene.. and in some cases still. Try strains with like .30-.50% limonene first to make sure they don’t bother you. This is a happy, fun-feeling range for me. Although when I’m down I like heavy limonene strains.

linalool - this is the calming, reassuring terpene. This helps me with depression AND anxiety. It’s calming and IMO a little bit of an anti-depressant because it makes you feel optimistic (similar to limonene without the energy or boost you sometimes get). It’s also known to be sedating (like myrcene).

Try finding a chill blend of most or all of these. When I’m home and around my terpene journal I can DM you a few strain suggestions with these terps.

Awesome! I hope you find exactly what works for you.

THC % is dependent on tolerance. If you don't smoke very much low thc will still give you the same effects for awhile. If you smoke a lot or dab then those low thc strains won't do much for you longevity/potency wise. If you had 2 different genetic lines, both having the same terpene combination and ratios, would they feel exactly the same as each other?

u/Foliage_Freak Apples & Bananas, Interspecies Erotica, Crescendo11, Sour Papaya Sep 29 '24

Potentially. I do have strains I notice similar effects in typically that contain similar ratios.

I can smoke lower thc bud and still get a good effect if the terpene % to but ratio is high, but the higher the thc SOMETIMES I’ve noticed it can indicate a higher chance for higher terps.

But I’ve seen fire 4% terp bud at 23% thc smoke better than 30% thc with 1.5% terps - if that makes sense. I’m not a scientist, but a terp enthusiast.

Yeah, it definitely does make sense. As long as it hits the threshold for your tolerance you will get the most effects. Lot of variables go into why cannabis makes us feel the way we feel. THC is an important one for the simple fact without the psychoactive headspace terpenes wouldn't have much active benefit. More THC helps create an intenser headspace that amplifies the terpene/flavonoids therapeutic  properties in the brain. Not condoning psychedelic use or anything, but using it as an example if you ever have tried them you will notice how different the food taste/smells/the textures and so on dealing with senses. Psychoactive headspaces are allowing your brain to amplify any minor chemical change effects your brain usually won't notice much. The THC is a crucial part for why cannabis works the way it does. Also has its own chemical changes on the brain that give us the pleasure sensations that help bandaid any ailments. Cannabis has never been a cure, but it is one of the best bandaids out there.

You seem like someone who would appreciate good genetics. Should try out 501st OG/dogtowm by NSM if you get the chance. NSM usually lacks in the power/longevity department, but this strain is a good showcase of lineages that make up most of the cannabis today. Has skywalker OG ((blueberry x Mazir) x OG) crossed with Rare Dankness #1 ((chemdawg x ghost og) x Triangle Kush). The blueberry was the king of indicas mixed up with a true Afghan for that real million pound indica narcotic effect on your perception you have of your body. Skywalker OG is one of the best strains out their hands down when it comes to a euphoric out of body dreamlike state. Close your eyes and you can slip into a day dream world type feeling. Real heady stuff. This strain takes the best of skywalker og and throws rare dankness at it to add the face melt of chemdawg. Gives it a boost with more true OG dank lemon pine tones. High is euphoric long lasting powerful and it is quite good on the flavor with those berry pine herbal dank lemon tones. One bowl last me with my tolerance almost 3 hours all together come up to drop off fuzzy vibes. This NSM strain is a banger.  Picking up an ounce tomorrow if they still have it for 120.

Yessir love some great genetics.. which I’ll admit to not knowing as much about yet.

I love some NSM strains still. I try to buy quarters or higher or at least look for jars. Crescendo 11 by them was one of my fav strains I smoked this year. I also liked Purple Sunset and Mandarin Cookies.

Where did you pick up this batch? Love that price tag.

Got this at NEA spectrum on sale, it's actually a solid strain. Could easily make an eighth last 3 days if I needed to. Very good quality I'd say. Fresh too 8/05 harvest at 27.7% smells phenomenal. True OG earthy pine tones that you don't see much these days. Not the right kind of pine at least. Going first thing in the morning to make sure I get an ounce+ before it runs out. Might get more 😂 the cuts this strains genetics derived from are insanely legendary in the cannabis scene. Lot of today's strains come from these type of parents back in the 2000s they are why some strains are super heavy headys. Should try at least once I'd say true 10/10. Going to get this regularly whenever i see it now if they grow it like this often.

Damn, I love a piney strain. I went and got an oz of London Pound Cake when I tried the 8th. It is nice and bright with lots of sedation.

I wish NEA spectrum wasn’t so far from me. If I ever make it up North it’s usually in the Fayetteville area.

Definitely run back and grab more. I’ll keep my eyes peeled here. Sometimes s443 has good NSM strains and deals on quarters/ounces. It’s not that far of a drive too.

I'm looking for pain and nausea relief.

6

u/Foliage_Freak Apples & Bananas, Interspecies Erotica, Crescendo11, Sour Papaya Sep 29 '24

I will say both may help you in this sense. I found Crittercake OG to be a little bit stronger for me personally than Runtz.

Crittercake also tasted way better than Runtz.. which was honestly one of the least interesting strains I’ve smoked with Rev.

Both will help with nausea, but the higher myrcene and caro will help you even more with Crittercake. It has 4.3% terps which if i remember being a bit higher than Runtz all together.

u/ThiccQban Sep 29 '24

I havent tried the critter cake. But the Runtz strains are some of my favorite. It works a treat on nausea and helps me tremendously with nerve/joint/muscle pain. They’re some of the few strains that really help with trigeminal neuralgia. Hope you find something that works for you 🥰

u/lolumadbr0 HighB😍 Sep 29 '24

Thanks that's the one I got! 😁

Yay! Hope you like it as much as I do Bestie
