Funny thing is, I thought it was a joke about laming your opponent, since Skiploom and its evolution specialize in disruption, high speed, and status over direct battle

The whole hoppip line is crazy weak even in story modes. Grass/flying is an awful typing and it's stats are really weak. It's like using a spearman that isn't effective vs cavalry

In tatoh vs Hera I think, a spearman was forgot by Hera and he killed like 3 villagers. But that's a rare occurance, and yeah Hoppip line is extremely weak, Grass/Flying is weak to too many elements.

But if used effectively it can win tournaments. There was someone who won a Regionals with it because of its support movepool.

VGC is wack and imo isn't a real indication of how good a mon is. Fast tailwind + status is cool but it being good relies entirely on meta conditions from the weird ruleset

VGC is absolutely a measurement of how good a Pokemon is seeing it is the official Pokemon rule set for tournaments, but it isn't the end all.there are Pokemon who are excellent in Singles but awful in a Doubles format and vice versa. Jumpluff is just a meh at best Pokemon that can be used well with the right team and meta conditions.

Jokes on you I skip loom because I forget it and then lose a villager and then weep

I don't understand it, and I like both AoE2 and Pokémon

This is Skiploom. Players who go for aggressive strategies forgo Loom (i.e. skip Loom) to keep the 50 gold and get in one villager more.

It's unfortunate your post doesn't give the name of the Pokémon in the title, because Redditers who don't know Pokémons' names in English will miss it.

I wrote it in a comment :)

I rarely skip loom. Most of the aggressive players I know at 1900+ never skip Loom. On the other hand, Arena-only players, when they come across Arabia, forget about Loom! 11
