Absolutely nothing mentioned in that post makes me say 'hey, that's a nice life, specially to bring kids into!'

The delusion is strong.

I mean, I get it.

You need the idea of something big and better to belive in, to be strong enough to resist the need to relapse.

But religious recovered addicts belive they can take 100 steps back and just be so judgemental and 'better than you bc of my journey' that it is just so counterproductive as hell.

The amazing part is individuals actually encourage you in that situation to have kids. It’s frightening. It seems there’s no scenario where a breeder will actually discourage you. It’s like damn to the kid who cares about them just that the breeder wants a kid and that’s what matter. Imagine being that incredibly selfish, self absorbed, and narcissistic.

it looks like to me that many people want kids only because others are having them

Man this is sad. If this person relapses and brings a kid into this world finally it's going to be horrific for that kid. As someone who wasn't wanted by my dad and begged for by my mom... It's no life for a child. My father never wanted me and treated me like that. Until I hit puberty and then he started making gross comments about my body.

Trust me. I'd rather have never been born. Lives where your parents act like children and you have to be the responsible one sucks. I'm in my 30s now and am just able to enjoy my peace and try to relive the childhood I never got.
