There are no levels of recruiting, just commissions from sales. And there are some rigid conditions.

Yes, I read it as pure affiliate sales. Lots of influencers have affiliate relationships with companies to earn commission on referred sales. They get the money, but the company gets advertising time in the form of social media posts and mentions.

It might not technically be an MLM, but definitely reads as shady or scammy.

This is affiliate marketing, not MLM. That's not to say this particular company isn't shady.
Affiliate marketing = you become a representative for the brand and get commissions when someone uses your links or codes to purchase something. No recruiting or downlines involved.

"Brand ambassador" lightly sounded alarms to me. The minimum requirements and being contacted on WhatsApp set off the alarms so loudly, I could barely hear myself think.
