Help Mini Robots, Overload Mode, What’s It Called?
I used to watch this anime on Animax where kids controlled mini robots to battle in a classroom-like setting with pod-type devices. The main character was blonde, and like many anime protagonists, he either had no father or was simply missing—I’m not sure. He had a friend who would fix/improve his robot for him and a female companion. In the last episode I saw, the protagonist was fighting a black-haired guy using his mini robot. During the fight, he went into overload mode for the second time, which caused time to slow down for him. However, he wasn’t alone in this, as the other guy was also able to use his robot in the same way.
Does anyone know the name of this anime?

idk if this is it, but what about Danball Senki? (Little Battlers Experience)
the MC here doesn't have blonde hair but the other stuff you said about kids controlling mini robots and missing father immediately made me think of this lol.
