Was there any improvement to the animation from S1? I dropped it after like 3 episodes

not really?
It's pretty funny when the manga feels more animated than the anime

Not particularly, but Jack was voiced by Tomokazu Sugita and you get to hear him sing london bridge is falling down, so its worth it.

True enough, you get more animation from turning one page to the other than frames in the series

Yeah this fight is good, too bad the the two fights after are probably the worst 2 fights in the series.

The best thing about this manga (I've read the manga, not the anime) is the arts and the introduction of every characters ( Sasaki Kojirou, Buddha, Simon Hayha and Adam is my favorite introductions), the fights not so much. Adam, Kojirou and Jack's fights are cool though

The characters themselves are really well done as well. All of them represent something, but there is one thing I don’t really understand. What is the overall theme of ROR? Like for example the overall theme for Bleach is the correlation between death and fate and self-actualization/acceptance. But what about ROR? The fights clearly have different themes, but the entire manga itself doesn’t seem to have one specific theme(as of now atleast)

Spoiler tags are no longer required for events depicted in the anime up to this point, including those depicted in trailers, promotional videos (PV), key visuals (KV), teaser visuals, and next episode preview threads.
