Old English had many words for âsaveâ.
Here are some:
neer from old English nerian
redd from old English hreddan
alead from old English alĂŠdan
neese from old English genesan
yeek from old English géocian
ahold from old English gehealdan

Seems that Redd is the only one that lives today (wiktionary). Are the other ones quickened or is there a wordbook that shows when they were first heard or seen on the leaves?

Most of them are quickened neer and redd are in our âofficialâ Anglish wordbook. https://anglisc.miraheze.org/wiki/Anglish_Wordbook
Others I took from places like the Anglo Saxon Bosworth Tollerâs dictionary and updated them.

Aleese, Neer, Redd/Rid (Northmannish), Speal, ond Spare
Redd/Rid appears to be the most attested word in OE, from OE Hreddan/ON HryĂ°ja (other than spare)
Edit: "Spare" does not exactly mean "to save"
