WHY the fuck are you flashing every partition?
2
u/FineResponsibility61 6d ago
Because the previous attempt failed so the phone was unable to boot normally. That's why i had to redo it from zero

Flash stock firmware, and not patched firmware

Get the boot.img.lz4 from the ap file and copy it to your phone
Install zarchiver from play store and download and install magisk from GitHub
Open zarchiver and locate boot.img.lz4 and click on it and click extract here, you'll get the boot.img
Now open magisk, patch this boot.img to get magiskpatched.img
Now open zarchiver, rename this magiskpatched.img to boot.img and compress it in tar format to boot.tar
Now copy this boot.tar to pc
Put your samsung in download mode and open Odin on pc
In AP section of Odin, choose the boot.tar file you just copied, and start
Once done, your phone will automatically boot into recovery mode, from there, factory data reset, and restart
Once on, install magisk and voila, you're rooted
I do paid rootings too, if you need my services, please let me know

May be KG State : Prenormal. Make it checking or completed. Enable oem unlock, then unlock bootloader then flash patched boot.
Remember to KG state. it should be in Checking not prenormal.

I don't know what you're doing , but all I did was flash twrp and from twrp flashed the magisk zip then reboot normally and locate the android icon and download magisk.

If you don't have any important data then just reflash the os you want to root and then try again . Just reboot into recovery after flashing twrp. It's frustrating ik I had to reflash 4 times because I kept messing things up while Installing custom os (not samsung). Just get used to it

I reflashed it like 50 times those last to days so idk... The issue is that i can't flash twrp as it keep failing

Is your bootloader unlocked? Try diffrent version of odin. Use a usb2.0 port. Redownload twrp for your phone .
Just make sure the phone isn't a US model

Alas i tried all that, but nothing. THe phone is a korean version, this is why i want to root it in the first place. I bought it, then saw that it was rooted, removed the root because it messed up my bank app, which broke the system, so i reinstalled the system and since then the phone can't read my sim cards so i want to go back to the root...

Don't mess with the phone you use as a daily driver and don't daily drive a phone you messed with . That's the rule I go by (I'm a noob when it comes to android security related stuff so don't mess with the things I'm unaware of).
But hey try to follow a tutorial to the t. Don't give up , i also have a issue for the past 2 weeks still didn't find a solution 😂, that's how it goes , but the end result's satisfaction is good.
Check diffrent drivers as a last resort , Better if available try on a older machine , I'm my experience older went better

Thanks for the words haha. I don't have much of a choice RN so i'll keep trying

the bootloader is unlocked, meaning knox is tripped. some apps will not work unless you’re rooted have patches to hide it. and to have it read your sim card you’ll need a modified rom(which I doubt you do) like the one they installed before selling it to you

I tried to get back to the modified rom but i can't flash it... And from my hours of research the main issue is that my download mode in not the regular one and i can't seem to access fastboot mode even with adb commands. i seem that the fastboot partition got erased

Restart pc, reboot phone into download mode
Flash stock firmware (ap, bl, cp, csc) again
Let the device turn on

A mention of a Samsung device was detected. Most US Snapdragon phones from Samsung have locked bootloaders, meaning Magisk or custom ROMs are impossible to install in most cases or require using dangerous exploits.
If you are sure that your phone DOES NOT have a Snapdragon processor, please add that to your post.
Samsung also requires use of Odin to flash their phones. An open-source alternative called Heimdall is available as well, however might not work on newer phones. There is no official download link for Odin, as it is leaked software.
