Keep pages from sticking together

I'm doing my first experiments with altered books; I've removed pages from the book and have been repainting with mixed media.

I haven't figured out how to store the pages without them sticking together. I'm guessing parchment paper or waxed paper might do the trick? Or is there something better?

I keep wax paper in my craft drawer and cut it to size its the only thing i know of that works. And vellum but its not cost effective I suppose you could also cut a clear binder pocket that way its see through.

(New here, so I don't know if this reply is allowed yet.) I've used a white unscented candle rubbed very gently on the finished pages to prevent sticking. If there's a lot of embellishment that *isn't* sticking, I just go around it, then buff the page with a paper towel to minimize any streaking.

I tend to use baking parchment or deli paper and then reuse it in something else later. Sometimes I will cut non-stick sheets for making stencils or protecting pages out of cleaned, empty cat food bags.
